Hi John and all,
Something to keep in mind:
The only importance of the speech rate is to help the user to be more
efficient.
This rate is only relevant to the individual user.
Everyone learns, or comprehends and works at a different level,
and when the speech rate becomes too fast, the

Hi Group,
In the speed rate for jaws, I'm surprized that I haven't read about the
speed adjustment hot keys:
Control+alt+PageDown for faster and
Control+alt+PageUp for slower.
Unless they are not in the newer jaws versions. I'm still at 6.2 here
at work.

Hi All,
While on this subject, I would like to mention something that I find
difficult listening to Jaws at a high rate.
I often like to listen to audio tutorials, but I usually end up
turning it off when the individual presenting the tutorial uses Jaws
at a high rate of speed and I cannot
Hi, this has been implemented since JAWS 3.7.

Dan,
While in a say all, you can also increase and decrease the speech rate
on the fly by pressing Page Up or Page Down.

I worked with a computer consultant yesterday who recommends Windows

not as strong at removing something that's already there.
It can be downloaded from the Microsoft downloads page, but I thought I'd

Personally I like AVG anti spyware. It's very usable once the tool bar is
labeled. That can be done using the files I have provided on the scripts

The worst thing about windows defender is installing it. I get into
a situation where I can't click a button that needs to be clicked,
so I can't complete the install. I like the program, though. when I

Hi Rosemarie,
Thanks for letting me know that I am not the only one. I would really

people in different blind groups, but I usually end up giving up when

I have been having trouble installing my new 8.0.
I could not seem to bring it up. Whenever I tried, JAWS 6.0 would appear.
So, I went to the programs page and un-installed 6.0 and re-installed 8.0.
Surprisingly this worked and 8.0 is showing.
My problem is that I can not find 6.0 on my computer.
Didn't you say you uninstalled Jaws 6? Bob
