it's already updated.
I looked and the sound is checked but it just doesn't talk not sure why.

Been having a bit of an issue lately with my Outlook Express. When I first
boot up, the first time I open the program, JAWS does not read out if mail
is read/unread, when I open a mail it automatically starts reading it like a
web page (i.e. Page has 18 links... instead of beginning
I use Windows Live Messenger 8.5 and JAWS 9 and I have absolutely no
problems using it. Hope this helps.
