Hello Mike, I only know that you can definitely use sappi 5 voices with jaws 8, but if both sappi 4 and 5 voices are installed on your pc, you have to enable sappi 5 voices and sappi 4 voices must be set to be detected. I can't recall off hand whether you only set this in windows own speech

I am not sure that Jaws has ever shipped with alternative Sapi 4 voices though Eloquence is I think technically Sapi 4. I came in at Jaws 6 so do not know what happened before then. Jaws 8 did have a CD with Scansoft realspeak Sapi 5 Voices before the development of real solo direct. Sapi 4

What you do is do the first part of the install in Windows. This will get you far enough that once the computer reboots it will do the rest automatically until it's ready to start. You then do a Windows U, tab one time, space, then enter, to launch Narrator, to help you set up Windows. Hope this
