Hello Mike,
I only know that you can definitely use sappi 5 voices with jaws 8, but
if both sappi 4 and 5 voices are installed on your pc, you have to
enable sappi 5 voices and sappi 4 voices must be set to be detected.
I can't recall off hand whether you only set this in windows own speech
I am not sure that Jaws has ever shipped with alternative Sapi 4 voices
though Eloquence is I think technically Sapi 4. I came in at Jaws 6 so do
not know what happened before then. Jaws 8 did have a CD with Scansoft

which I can vouch.
So probably the said jaws installation uninstalls, or

Hi List:
I am using JAWS 11 on a XP home system with Internet Explorer 6.
Ever since I upgraded to JAWS 11, I seem to have a lot of problems going to
certain websites that I normally went to before without problems.
Here are two sites that are giving me problems. Everything seems to freeze.
Hey Jimmy,
Do I need to put in the scrips that are on the site to keep the settings?

Yes you can. Which sound card is your computer sounds coming out of now?
If it's the external, then do the following to set jaws to the internal.
Press insert j to open the jaws menu.
U for utilities.
O
Try upgrading to IE7 or IE8. JAWS 11 supports both versions so upgrade to
the latest if you can. Sites will start to no longer work with IE6; in fact
some sites are probably doing it now in favour of improved security in IE8.

What you do is do the first part of the install in Windows. This will get
you far enough that once the computer reboots it will do the rest
automatically until it's ready to start. You then do a Windows U, tab one

Hope this
