I am using Windows Live mail with the latest update and finding message rules
is very hit and miss. It seems I have to do alt v and then cursor down to the
lower ribbon and just keep tabbing around in hope but it is
yes, there is something wrong. I can crate them to a fashion but there is
something I am unable to do because it is just not working correcty. I have
about five rules called copy show of all messages, cannot work out what is
going wrong here I guess eventually FS will be on it boy o boy its

hello there;
okay, here's the steps I used to create a message filter for the latest
version of WLM, and, I'm going to use,
jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com
as an example.
1, open Windows Live Mail;
2, you first need to create a folder for the,
jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com messages.
so, press
Sorry I confused you now I too am confused
I have this hellish machine configured to black background and white fonts,when
emailing to some of my contacts they only get a blank page,I thought this might
be the problem .
When it is highlighted it can be read
Don't cry because it's over smile
Thanks David
Is there a way of moving the messages to that folder so as they dont show in
my inbox as well as my jaws folder?
Currently everything goes into my in box and the jaws message rule is
working but when I delete from my inbox the jaws messages get deleted from
the jaws folder as
lo Graham;
well, I'm not really sure about that.
I would check to see which rules you have created, you'll need to
select/delete the rule which places the files into your inbox.
I'm not ecperiencing that behavior here.
of course the other thing is, you could start fresh.
sorry, I can't help
Ok thanks
I guess this is where things are going wrong, why are they going into my
inbox if i have set a message rule to move them to my jaws folder anyway.
Guess I'll have another look sometime.
Thanks again
Graham

Hi.
I have a problem with this because if I do alt, letter o then letter r it takes
me to new folder. Does this mean something can be reset so that I can follow
your instruction?
Mandy.

I used to be able to listen online, but now it doesn't look too promising.
I can't even get that second browser window you get, because I can't

hello Mandy;
I'm assuming you have the jaws virtual ribbon menu on?
if you turn it off,
then pressing, alt/o/r will take you to the message rules,
you can turn it off, by insert+v=adjust jaws options,
now press the letter,
v, now spacebar to turn it off.
you can do this right from the WLM.
hello Mandy;
I should also add,
when you have the virtual ribbon menu on, you don't hear the quick shortcut
keys, such as,
alt/o/r,
actually jaws says,
message rules button
alt followed by O comma 'r

hello Mandy;
whether it's good to have the virtual ribbon menu off or on, is a personal
preference.
having the virtual ribbon menu on, helps folks navigate the menu using the
alt-key, and using the right/left arrow to navigate.
