I do not have a downloads folder on my desktop by default, so your friend may not either. In Windows 7 just hit the Windows key. In the edit box type downloads and hit enter. That will open the downloads folder. On my Windows 7 computer the path to the folder is: c:\users\my

After finding this down load folder I simply pointed to it and pressed the applacations key and arrowed to create shortcut and the folder was moved to my Desk top and I then created a short cut key for same and it works well that way. --

I have already begun to prefer opening things with the Windows key search box rather than having a cluttered desktop. I know it is easy enough for people to add icons to their desktop, but I am glad we have multiple ways of doing the same thing so we can each choose the method that we prefer.

Hi John, Just pickup a KVM switch, that will allow you to control your computers with one keyboard, mouse, and monitor. The advantage of this is, if you have a problem on your music machine, you can have someone read the monitor if need be. You can find one at Tiger Direct for around $20. HTH,
