Hi,
Has anyone got the braille edge 40 braille display to work with jaws?
Please email me off list at kimsans...@aol.com, if you want to further the
discussion.
Thanks.

Thanks, Shane, it might just be an on-and-off thing. Maybe that's what I'll
have to do, too. I like Google Access better, I think, because it's mostly
text.
Thanks much.

Ok, try this
go to the store
control shift home for store home
insert f7 for list of links
enter on browse
Now when the page opens you will, if your set up is the same and if jaws is
doing the same thing for you, as it is for me, the word: list.
now you are in the columns arrow down to choose
No its f6 and shift f6 to move around the screen options.
I have just been on itunes again and gone straight to the book section in
the store. It like the music, worked really well I was listening to clips
from any book any author, etc.
Sorry I am not a good typer but the link to look for is
Rather than just saying that it takes getting used to, Would you explain
what egzactly you did in various commands to get what results?
Did you perhaps mean to say Insert F7 as aposed to Shift F7?
Many thanks! Vicky

Sounds like you are having a similar problem I've had. I'll be reading
down a page then it stops and when I try to move through the page, it
says blank blank blank. Doesn't matter what you do, it doesn't fix
itself. I usually end up restarting the browser, then if that doesn't
fix it, quit and
Isn't this something? I went back to google acces to search for something and
now it reads perfectly. You can disregard my other message. Sorry about that.
Don't know what happened, but I'm glad it fixed whatever it was.
God bless.

Someone sent a link to Google Access. I think it's supposed to be easier for
the screen readers. I went to the link and it went there like it was supposed
to. I put in my search which was for song lyrics. I tried to read down the
page and all I got were blank, blank. I routed the Jaws to PC
Following on from my last message once you have selected your jogler artist
album and then tabbed to the song press enter on it and it will play,
pressing the appplication key on the song will also give you other options.

Use the "speech and sound schemes manager" to accomplish your goal. press
the jaws hotkey insert+alt+S to bring up the speech and sound schemes
dialog. then, in the list view, arrow , up or down to any item that has
"attributes" in the name. Personally, I usually use the "classic with

I can get to the songs and even download them without any problem. I'm just
not sure how to sample them to make sure if it is what I want.
I also use the latest itunes with Jaws 13.

I use jaws 14 and latest version of itunes 11.
I was using no scripts and was really impressed with the new way of browsing

To all Listers:
Please forgive the sometimers if this has been discussed before. I am needing
to know how to set JAWS to read words, in MS Word 2007, that are emphasized by
italics. I looked under the JAWS verbosity settings and could not find what I
am looking for. Any help will be accepted
I am running JAWS 13 and somehow a setting was changed. When I read the
Time or Date the punctuation is spoken. It says Colon in Time and Comma in
Date.
What do I need to change?
John

I presume it is the *showing* of the paragraph marks or whatever,
rather than the actual paragraph or lines or whatever, that one wants to
turn off. (Just a small point.)
