Thanks for the overview. I will stick with my Office 2010 for as long as
possible. I guess that for sighted people all of this info appears at a
glance and only requires a mouse click. Maybe FS can come up with some
fixes.

longer reads the message body for the default Mail app in the Virtual
Viewer window. You have to switch to Caret browsing for it to
