windows key+x,
this is true in windows 7, if you use the windows key+x in windows 8, it
takes you to a windows context menu, where you can arrow through various
choices

I would be careful trying the function key plus the key to the right of the
F12 key since on my Dell Inspiron that is the mute key. And I think
function F3 might turn off the wireless. I
