choice. It's the closest thing to Google reader I've found. I find it to be

Might start with Research it..has Reuters and the BBC (British
Broadcasting Corporation). They both are excellent news sources. I use
these plus the Financial Times. The Wall Street Journal and Barrons -
all specialized finance newspapers. I read the New York Times and the
Washington Post.
I use Google News for a quick headline news.
