Try Control-Shift-F6 or you could also tab and go Up-Arrow to "Details" then
Shift-Tab twice and you will be back at your folder and the folders and
files will be listed vertically.

up and down arrow keys in this view you will only here the name of the file
and the right and left arrow keys will do nothing. You can read the current
line to get other header information. If you use CTRL

These are excellent detailed instructions. It has been my
experience, though, that if I want the view to apply to all folders I
have to make the changes in the tools menu
