Yo Bro,

Where did you find, Vertical Tab, in the Settings Center to silence it? I
looked in Keyboard & Speech & Sound Schemes, & didn't find anything relating
to that.
Take care.

In the setting center, if you can apply the setting to affect all
applications, I tend to disagree about it being vaig; however, to answer
your question it occurs in a web-based mail when reading and replying.

This has worked whenever I've needed it. Usually, however, the download is
finished before I check its progress.

You are presented with a list of recently downloaded files, from which you
can
choose one to open. It's much more efficient than having to navigate to your
Downloads directory.

Re: [JAWS-Users] New file added to your OneDrive page

2016-05-19 Thread Mario
I press enter on the link and Internet Explorer opens to a page where it
is asking me to login or create an account. I figure this isn't right,
so I select and copy the link from the email, launch notepad, and paste
the link. I find there's a break towards the end. so I move to the break
and delete twice until a letter is announced, select the entire link,
launch IE and paste the link in to the open dialog, press enter, and ...
"This item might not exist or is no longer available - One Drive".
so I launch Firefox, paste the link into the location dialog, press
enter, and ... "This item might not exist or is no longer available -
One Drive"

something is not working for me. I can't get this tutorial.

Good morning Jaws Users list.

I have added an audio tutorial called, "Using OneDrive with Jaws to
the jaws users download page.

This explains how to use OneDrive on your computer to control what you
have stored in the cloud storage of OneDrive.

There is a 10 second gap in the middle, please ignore and keep
listening to the audio tutorial.

All feedback is welcome on my tutorials. Let me know if this lesson is
helpful in teaching you how to use OneDrive.

God bless.

[JAWS-Users] Basic Outlook 2016 Navigation Issue Solved

2016-05-19 Thread Tom Behler
Hello, everyone.

I just wanted to let you know that my major Outlook 2016 Jaws navigation
issue has been resolved. It took a call to Freedom Scientific, and I was
very clearly told that the problem was caused by the fact that I was running
Jaws 16 version 0.4350.

I was instructed to upgrade to Jaws 17, to which I'm entitled, and now my
list views navigate much more easily.

I am sure I'll still have more questions as I proceed here, but at least
Outlook seems much more manageable.

Thanks all for your suggestions.

[JAWS-Users] multiple accounts in the mail ap in windows 10

2016-05-19 Thread Kimsan Song
As I continue to use this mail ap since I’m bored here at work, I found out
that once pressing CTRL n to create a new email, if you have more than one
account configured, a list will come up with the email accounts that you have
configured.
So, up or down arrow and press enter on the account you’d like to use then
proceed to compose your email.

[JAWS-Users] Character under cursor repeatedly announced in command prompt windows - Windows 10/JAWS 17

2016-05-19 Thread Jason White
Hello,

Under JAWS 17 (latest update), and Windows 10 (all updates applied), if I
create a command prompt window (e.g., by starting PowerShell), then place the
cursor on a letter or other character that JAWS announces, it will repeatedly
announce the character that the cursor is on.

The output on the braille display is fine and does not change until I move the
cursor.

Is there a known solution? Some of us rely heavily on command-based tools even
under MS-Windows.

[JAWS-Users] How To Get Download Status Reports With Firefox 46

2016-05-19 Thread Tom Behler
Hello.

I am currently downloading and saving the latest version of Jaws 17, and I
have discovered that, in Firefox 46, I can't get the download percent status
indications like I used to in earlier Firefox versions.

My sighted wife was able to get the download percent notifications started
by clicking on a download status window at the top of the screen, but I'm
not sure how to get to that on the keyboard with this new version of
Firefox.

If anyone has any suggestions to remedy this issue, I'd appreciate them very
much.

Dr. Tom Behler from Michigan

Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS scripts for Skype for Business 2015/ Lync 2013

2016-05-19 Thread Bissett, Tom
These scripts were developed and distributed free. If you read the help you
will see what they do and the rest they don't. They are not at a stage where
they cover everything but do help to jump from the chat input and history
windows. Stopped a lot of the extraneous chatter. I am not sure where the
numbers are coming from because I do not experience this.
Unfortunately this is all there is. No one else has done any scripting for
this.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS scripts for Skype for Business 2015/ Lync 2013

Hello gang.
I installed the JAWS scripts for SFB 2015 from the scripts home page below:
http://www.dlee.org/sfb/lync.htm#instI have verified they are installed by
hitting Insert Q with SFB in focus. But I just don't notice any difference with
and without the scripts. For example, both out of the box SFB'15 and with
scripts installed, I'm unable to activate the 'share' button to share my
desktop, unable to scroll through the list of attendees and grant/revoke
control, and also hear lots of random numbers spoken each time I land on the
participants list window before JAWS speaks the participants name. It's
basically pretty inaccessible.
How do I resolve the above three issues with the scripts above or some other
set of scripts?

Re: [JAWS-Users] iTunes 12.3

Apple releases regular updates to iTunes that introduces new features, bug

You can revert to a previous version of iTunes by uninstalling the software
and removing configuration files.

This tutorial will show you how, using keyboard navigation.
if you are using anything above windows XP
Step 1
press win key+m and select itunes then press enter to Launch it. press the
alt key to select the standard menubar and select File and select "Export
Library" to save your iTunes library if necessary. Quit iTunes when you have
finished exporting the library file.

Step 2
press "Start" and select "Control Panel" select"programs and features" To
uninstall a program, select it from the programs list and press the
application key and from the context menu select uninstall and press enter.
You will need to uninstall "iTunes," ," "Apple Software Updater," "Apple
Mobile Device Support," "Bonjour" and "Apple Application Support."

Step 3
Restart your computer when you finish uninstalling all the iTunes software.
Step 4
after the computer has restarted. press win key+m and select computer
assuming you have the computer icon on your desktop. If not then press the
start menu button and find computer and open it. Navigate to "C:\Program
Files" and delete the "Bonjour," "iTunes," "iPod," and "QuickTime" folders.
Open the "Common Files" folder within "Program Files" and delete the "Apple"
folder.

Step 5
Launch a Web browser and navigate to the Old Apps website at
http://www.oldapps.com/
Step 6
Select "iTunes" in the "Audio Utilities" section and download the previous
version of iTunes that you want to install on your computer.

Step 7
Open your "Downloads" folder and double-click the iTunes installation file
to install the previous version of iTunes on your computer.

Step 8
Launch iTunes when finished with installation. Select the standard menubar
then select File and select "Import." Select the iTunes file you exported
previously to reload your iTunes library. Assuming you performed step 1.

if you are using XP or below the steps are similar but some things are
different

Launch iTunes. Click "File" and select "Export Library" to save your iTunes
library if necessary. Quit iTunes when you have finished exporting the
library file.

version of iTunes that you want to install on your computer.

Step 7
Open your "Downloads" folder and double-click the iTunes installation file
