Re: [JAWS-Users] New file added to your OneDrive page
I press enter on the link and Internet Explorer opens to a page where it is asking me to login or create an account. I figure this isn't right, so I select and copy the link from the email, launch notepad, and paste the link. I find there's a break towards the end. so I move to the break and delete twice until a letter is announced, select the entire link, launch IE and paste the link in to the open dialog, press enter, and ... "This item might not exist or is no longer available - One Drive". so I launch Firefox, paste the link into the location dialog, press enter, and ... "This item might not exist or is no longer available - One Drive" something is not working for me. I can't get this tutorial. [JAWS-Users] Basic Outlook 2016 Navigation Issue Solved
Hello, everyone. I just wanted to let you know that my major Outlook 2016 Jaws navigation issue has been resolved. It took a call to Freedom Scientific, and I was very clearly told that the problem was caused by the fact that I was running Jaws 16 version 0.4350. I was instructed to upgrade to Jaws 17, to which I'm entitled, and now my list views navigate much more easily. I am sure I'll still have more questions as I proceed here, but at least Outlook seems much more manageable. Thanks all for your suggestions. [JAWS-Users] Character under cursor repeatedly announced in command prompt windows - Windows 10/JAWS 17
Hello, Under JAWS 17 (latest update), and Windows 10 (all updates applied), if I create a command prompt window (e.g., by starting PowerShell), then place the cursor on a letter or other character that JAWS announces, it will repeatedly announce the character that the cursor is on. The output on the braille display is fine and does not change until I move the cursor. Is there a known solution? Some of us rely heavily on command-based tools even under MS-Windows. My sighted wife was able to get the download percent notifications started by clicking on a download status window at the top of the screen, but I'm not sure how to get to that on the keyboard with this new version of Firefox. If anyone has any suggestions to remedy this issue, I'd appreciate them very much. Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS scripts for Skype for Business 2015/ Lync 2013
These scripts were developed and distributed free. If you read the help you will see what they do and the rest they don't. They are not at a stage where they cover everything but do help to jump from the chat input and history windows. Stopped a lot of the extraneous chatter. I am not sure where the numbers are coming from because I do not experience this. Unfortunately this is all there is. No one else has done any scripting for this. I installed the JAWS scripts for SFB 2015 from the scripts home page below: http://www.dlee.org/sfb/lync.htm#instI have verified they are installed by hitting Insert Q with SFB in focus. But I just don't notice any difference with and without the scripts. For example, both out of the box SFB'15 and with scripts installed, I'm unable to activate the 'share' button to share my desktop, unable to scroll through the list of attendees and grant/revoke control, and also hear lots of random numbers spoken each time I land on the participants list window before JAWS speaks the participants name. It's basically pretty inaccessible. How do I resolve the above three issues with the scripts above or some other set of scripts?
