I don't know if the below described problem is a jfw or
internet explorer problem. All of a sudden when I enter on a
download link I hear a click through the PC speaker but the
link does not start the download or open a new page.
Can anyone please assist?

hi, sometimes when things refuse to download for me, I usually do a force
activate link. Like when I go to the links list dialog and locate the link
that I want, such as a download link, I will hit tab until it says activate
link.
If it still doesn't work, you can try hitting the
I recently installed J Tools with J Dictate. It works with Dragon and Jaws.
I will be installing the Dragon this week and will let you know how it
