Hello Listers
I have a friend who can not afford MSOffice. Is there a free
word processor which works with jaws and wich is a bit more
function rich than HJPad or wordpad?
Regards

Jarte from

this will probably do most of what your friend needs and probably
more. i do have MS Office installed but use Jarte as my default word
processor because it is so much sleeker.

There sure is. It's called Jarte, and it is fully compatible with JAWS. It
has a built-in spell checker and the ability to create and save templates,
among other features. And its menus are straightforward and easy to
navigate. I prefer it over MS Word 2007. Check it out:
Hi.
Again I fail to follow instructions because this is what happens.
Open email programme and alt h brings up virtual ribbon home tab.
Cursoring down brings up
Lower ribbon new submenu,
Delete submenue, respond submenu, actions submenu, tools submenu, group
submenu new submenu.
It then
Hello Mandy;
I'm not sure if you have the virtual ribbon on or off,
However, I'll provide both steps,
First to verify if you have the ribbon on or off,
Do the following;
1, open windows live mail,
2, press insert+v=adjust jaws options,
3, now press the letter V, you will hear jaws announce,
Here are some keystrokes for windows live mail 2011,
This should help folks who are using the ribbon.
These might be useful
Using keyboard shortcuts for the ribbon:
• To access a specific ribbon tab press the shortcut key for the ribbon
tab required (shown at the top of each section).
•
Hello there;
I forgot to add,
These keystrokes don't work with the virtual ribbon on.

I have been using Earthlink as my IP for years and I have been happy with it
but it cost me about $30 a month. If I switch many of my communication

know if it is very accessible with JAWS? I am using Windows 7 64 bit

the only way to use google talk is to install aim and it will work.
Google talk isn't very accessible to jaws unless you install aim.

If you're talking Yahoo Mail, it is probably as accessible and bothersome as
a web-based email account is. You can pay extra for Yahoo Pop so you can
integrate it into your email program. But, before I paid them $20 a year,
I'd just move everything over to Gmail or some oother service.
please go to the following page:
http://sites.google.com/site/aruni100/
download the scripts from there, see if those scripts work for you.
though they don't seem to work with JAWS12.
