[JAWS-Users] JAWS what a shame

2013-06-09 Thread Fanus
Hello list
Over the past 15 years I spent in access of $2500 for the
original JAWS 3.3 and all the upgrades up to the current
version 14. Today I tried to instal Office 2013 on my
windows 7 laptop as well as on a windows 8 tablet. I could
only go through the install process up to a certain stage
from where JAWS could not reag the prompts and the JAWS
cursor only says blank, blank. I then installed the free
NVDA and it could read the prompts and the entire screen and
I could complete the setup on both devices.
What a shame for a company claiming they have the best
screen reader!!!
Regards
Fanus

What is this doing on my list. The guidelines clearly state if you have a
problem with Freedom Scientific then take it up with them directly. This is
not the place for such posts. This thread is closed as of now.

It is the Win7 Action Center. Perhaps you can go into the Action Center from
another direction like the Search feature or the Control Panel. I've been
working on the Action Center too because it is not very intuitive IMHO.

When I hit f11 to see my system tray, there is something there that says
Solve PC Issues (1 message). I can't seem to get anything out of it when
I enter. Could someone please tell me what this means? I am using a
Windows 7 64 bit machine and running JAWS 14.

Thanks,

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] an announcement

David, Judy here. I just replied to the person in question before reading
your post; I am a couple days behind my emails. I do apologize, won't happen
again and I hope you don't remove me from the list. It has been quite
helpful. Judy Tallie

The gentlemen responsible for the what a shame thread have been removed
although not band at this point. FYI that will happen to anybody who
continues that thread. It just really ticks me off to wake up to find
messages like that waiting for me to review.

There will come a day when I won't have to worry about reading such garbage
first thing in the morning or anytime at all for that matter. Trust me this
is not a good time to ask me for a loan.

Always be yourself because the people that matter don't mind, and the ones
that mind don't matter.
