[JAWS-Users] JAWS what a shame
Hello list Over the past 15 years I spent in access of $2500 for the original JAWS 3.3 and all the upgrades up to the current version 14. Today I tried to instal Office 2013 on my windows 7 laptop as well as on a windows 8 tablet. I could only go through the install process up to a certain stage from where JAWS could not reag the prompts and the JAWS cursor only says blank, blank. I then installed the free NVDA and it could read the prompts and the entire screen and I could complete the setup on both devices. What a shame for a company claiming they have the best screen reader!!! Regards Fanus For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/

What is this doing on my list. The guidelines clearly state if you have a problem with Freedom Scientific then take it up with them directly. This is not the place for such posts. The gentlemen responsible for the what a shame thread have been removed although not band at this point. FYI that will happen to anybody who continues that thread. It just really ticks me off to wake up to find messages like that waiting for me to review. There will come a day when I won't have to worry about reading such garbage first thing in the morning or anytime at all for that matter. Trust me this is not a good time to ask me for a loan. Re: [JAWS-Users] Solve PC Issues
It is the Win7 Action Center. Perhaps you can go into the Action Center from another direction like the Search feature or the Control Panel. I've been working on the Action Center too because it is not very intuitive IMHO. It is fine if you have a problem with FS, this is not the place for it to be discussed. I have already received quite a bit of hate mail from the person who started this out today. In the past month I have received a number of complaints and believe it or not also a death threat for not running things the way some people think things should be handled. I try to be understanding but flaming will not be tolerated. If I want to watch people fight I'll go to a family reunion. So let's just put this to bed and try to move on. No I am not going to remove you from the list since you caught yourself, don't worry about it. Where is my bottle of brandy?
