Hi, Sometimes when I am on a page on the Internet, using Internet Explorer 11, Jaws will switch from virtual cursor to pc cursor. Then, of course, I cannot read anything on the page. I tried closing Internet Explorer and going back to it and got the same thing. When that happens, how do I get the virtual cursor to work again? I try insert plus Z but that doesn't do anything. [JAWS-Users] Using Jaws 12 and outlook 2007, when in spell checker it always change days of week even I believe they are capitalized..
HI When using f7 to spell check, it always asked to fix Days of the week and what day it is. Will sometimes also try to correct First names. I am typing them in capital letters to start with. Hello, I have a long document that I have created in Word 2010. I want page numbers to start on the seventh page of the document. I have inserted a section break at this point and broken the link to earlier pages. Page numbering does start over at page 1 on the seventh page, as it should. However, the first six pages still have page numbers 1 through 6 on them. According to a little web research, I should be able to go into the footer in the first six pages and delete the page number. When I do this, it removes all page numbers for the entire document. Does anyone know how to do what I want to do? I'm using JAWS 15 with Word 2010. You should go to the second section, show the headers and footers, than press alt+ to enter the ribbons. Just tab till you hear link to previous pressed. Just press enter and you should be able to modify headers and footers of the two sections separately. Sorry I don't remember the shortcuts to go there quickly. Hi All, Is anyone else having problems accessing the Dropbox menues? I can't open Dropbox from the system tray by just pressing enter in the menu list pressing enter on open folder. I'm not getting any menues at all. To open Dropbox from the system tray I have to highlight Dropbox tab 3 times to the double left click button press enter. I can only open the folder but, I can't get any of the menues as I could in older versions. This is happening running XP Windows7 running Jaws 13 15 latest. [JAWS-Users] jaws 15 freezes when using braill input
Hello Listers, I was experiencing jaws 15 freezing when I was using braille input which is the 40 cell focus display with Bluetooth active. It was working fine for a period of time and then it would freeze. But I was able to reload jaws 15 and send error report. I'm using windows xp pro on dell desktop. I have tried changing my hot key, and even tried typing JAWS14 in the run dialogue box but nothing seems to help. The only way I can get JAWS to start speaking again is to reboot my computer. Last night I found something that might allow some of you to let me know what's going on. I had to turn JAWS off and again when I tried to restart it, nothing happened. I activated NVDA so I could have some speech and focused on the JAWS14 icon on my desktop. When I would try to open it, I heard NVDA say JFW is hidden. Can anyone tell me what I can do in order to solve this issue? You need to do the break for headers and footers separately. If you want different header and footers for odd and even pages you should break the connection for headers and footers of odd and even pages separatly also. You should continue tabbing. May be I misleded you, it is not a link. Jaws pronounces it as checkbox. It is found in the design tab, last in the navigation section, fifth one in the tab order in the section. Or you can just press alt+j+h+k. For me the hotkeys not seem to work consistently and often I go to check if they worked. Hi Eric, The 6025 up date will not install when using the check for up dates it will only install if you down load the full Jaws 15.0.625 from the FS web site. When you try to install it using the check for up dates I get the error message that the Jaws patch could not be installed, but when you install it from the full Jaws 15.0.625 down load it is ok.
