I had to resort to a "user hack" of the Epson 1660 drivers for Windows 7. To my knowledge, they also work for Windows 8. The driver is a hack for 64-bit Windows vista since Epson itself didn't bother to come out with 64-bit drivers. You have to run the driver in Compatibility mode and run as
