Re: [JAWS-Users] question about large external hard drives
Most certainly a dongle is the way to go if you can handle it. On a lap top I suggest you avoid using those things as they might break off, but on a tower it is the only way to fly. -Original Message- From: JM Casey Sent: Monday, October 16, 2017 5:33 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] question about large external hard drives Weird. With all the experimenting I do it has saved me a lot of hassle asking for new keys. When they started to complain I explained that it was a test machine and this would be the norm FS sent me one for free just so they wouldn't have to keep resetting my key count! Re: [JAWS-Users] question about large external hard drives
Wow...that seems odd. I don't mean to be contradictory, but this sort of thing seems hard to argue with: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/askcore/2010/02/18/understanding-the-2-tb-limit-in-windows-storage/ Are you sure you are able to access all of those drives? I have two 2 TB external drives myself. I know Windows 10 for instance can handle larger drives if you format them in the new post-ntfs filesystem. I had these same 2TB drives on my XP machine, which I owned until this spring, but never thought to try bigger because of the reasons above. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Dave...Oregonian Sent: October 16, 2017 9:25 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] question about large external hard drives Yes, now I will insert a caveat that these are running on an XP operating system at 32 bits.
