Goto will do this nicely. Press f5, or control-g for 'go to'. Then type in the cell coordinates you want, joined by commas if they are non-contiguous or colon if contiguous. To select f6 and g6, type f6,g6. To select a group of cells, like columns a through e in rows 4 through 10, press f5
