Sounds like a repair or reinstall is in order if you have it set for echo in the start up wizard and it doesn't work. Yes, on a new Toshiba laptop running windows 10 already installed and Jaws 17 second beta and Office 2010. I had this same issue with both Beta versions of J17. Hi Jaws Users list, Here is how to get the Jaws 17 beta 2 download yourself. Go to: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Press Control+home, takes you to the top of the page. Press H, for headings 5 times, to latest news. Down arrow one time to, Jaws 17 public beta 2 released, press enter. After the page loads, press Insert+f7, for your links list. Press the letter D three times, This takes you to Download the Jaws public beta, press enter. If you have a 64 bit computer, arrow down to: Jaws 17.0.806,english, September 2015,64bit, press enter. Press ALT+n, for the notification bar. Tab to save, press enter. Close IE, with Control+w. Go to your download folder. Press enter on the Jaws 17 beta 2 file. Follow the prompts to install. Restart your computer. Redo your shortcut key to start jaws 17. Now you have done it yourself, you will know how to do it the next time all by yourself. No need for others to post a download link for you. I know for people who are just starting out on a computer, that this is a easy way for them to get a Jaws program update. Hi, Is it only my problem or did somebody hat the same? When I am using beta of jf 17, it will not tell me the comma, period, space etc. but some characters, which aren't identical in English or Czech. How is jaws saying the punctuation's for you? If correct says space-bar, period, comma, exclaim I will report as a bug. Hi, I am running win ten here and find the beta to be quite stable here. I only had 1 situatioln whare I had to reboot the system while using olutlook 2013. After that it is humming here with no problems. If you have a page that uses a list of links but they're all laid out horizontally on screen even though they are indeed an html list, jaws insists on putting them in a vertical layout. According to the jaws cursor (yes I really mean the jaws cursor), this is a horizontal list, a bar of links that span the top of the website, kind of looks like a menu bar. With the virtual pc cursor while you've got smart navigation turned on, this appears to be a vertical list. I have reported all of these concerns to fs via the 17 beta report form, but as that form is crazily short on the edit boxes limiting the input to too few characters to say all that I have to say, I wondered if there was a chance I'd get Erick's or someone's attention on here, especially if anyone else wants to confirm my findings, perhaps by duplicating my problem reports via the beta report form at least.
