Hi George!
I see no actions needed, but I did not think that had anything to do with 
Defender. I did not know what that meant. If that is what Defender says in the 
creators update, than I am fine.

I guess you are running the Creator, if it was the Anniversary it would say, 
pc status windows defender periodic scanning ON.

First I must say that I do not run Windows 10, so this is only a guess.  Can 
you go into your Taskbar properties / Notifications Area & tell your 
computer to show notifications for Windows Defender?  When I want an item to 
show in the system tray this is where I go in Windows 7.
