Re: [JAWS-Users] yesterday's daily information
One other way to help increase your battery life, that works for blinks, is that we can set the screen brightness to it's lowest setting. At least, on my laptop, there is a hot key to change the brightness, so if I need a sighted person to take a look, I can just bump the brightness back up. -- Blue skies. Now that is something I wish my own lap top had. I could change it obviously but not quite as easy. I must be getting old because right after I sent my last message I remembered the command to simply turn off the monitor on my lap top. Yes it doesn't have a dim button but FN + F2 shuts it off. You might have that option in the battery power savings options and you might have it in the function keys options, the ability to dim the screen. - Original Message - From: David Ferrin ow...@jaws-users.com To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Sunday, December 19, 2010 12:15 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] yesterday's daily information Now that is something I wish my own lap top had. Re: [JAWS-Users] yesterday's daily information
My laptop manufacturer agreed to provide my laptop without a monitor. I have a port on it to connect an external monitor but have never needed it. It made the laptop lighter as well.
