Some questions points on the main issues here.

/lib is maybe the easiest case: it mostly contains JBoss's needed classes.
One small problem maybe: some of these classes are not directly use by the
JBoss microkernel directly (nor by the services in conf/J
Ok, great.

Its not a bad idea, but implicit in this is how do you know which
services to include? A default newbie optionless 'ant' invocation
is jsut going to build the current default so its a pointless option.
The bigger underlying issues is the jboss config thread to which Sacha
just posted another though
Attached is the draft of the 4.0 roadmap. The 4.0 codebase will be
the basis for the j2ee 1.4 certification work. The outline is still
too coarse grained due to the fact that tasks have not been assigned.
If you have interest in an area let me know so tasks can be scoped
out and assigned.

Hello,
I would like to continue our discussion of JBoss configuration as I think we
must make that much better for future releases of JBoss.
There are lots of facets to this problem but in order to keep things simply,
I would like to start talking about a single one: user configuration of

Title: [JBoss-dev] Reverse Proxy Servlet
Hi,
I am in favour not to overload default. There are already (too) many
services (e.g. snmp)
that are not used, take memory, extend the startup phase and (sometimes)
open more
ports that need to be secured.
Perhaps there should be a "all" config
Put it into the docs/examples/varia/servlets directory of the
dist along with any docs you have. It can then be installed
by users as needed.

I added my Reverse Proxy Servlet (aka Loadbalancer) to the CVS
repository today.
The only problem I have is to which run-configuration (minimal, default
or all) I should add the loadbalancer.war to.
The problem is:
The WAR overlays the other webapps that have been deployed (it maps to
context /).
