Good news ---
Setting nukes.database=mysql in local.properties

setting pk-constraint=true in each entity EJB's @jboss.persistence tag

WORKS!
So now my pure-CMP FAQ module deploys flawlessly

Howard,
take a look at the news module. The setting for pk-constraint is declared there in the
build file
, so there ist no need to do it manually in each EJB. Only problem is, the changes
only occur when making clean build.
Next step is to make these settings in the database specific

Hi all,
I am new to the concept of EAR. We have a EJB application with contains ejb-jars,
utility jars and web.war files. Till now we deployed them individually in jboss deploy
directory. Now we are asked to create one single ear to deploy these files.
I understand that I have to write
ejbstore is called every time a new transaction starts . So we cannot avoid calling
it. One way to avoid it is to specify the bean as read only which means we are saying
the bean will never write to the database. This can be done in the deployment
descriptor.
If the bean has to write to the
For the 2 people who viewed this post - I figured out the problem.
I unzipped the snapshot over the top of an older snapshot. This caused the xdoclet
and ant jars to be incompatible. I deleted the snapshot dir and unzipped again and it
is building properly as I type this message.
Thanks -

I meant that the ejb-class you specify in ejb-jar.xml might extend some other class,
inherit its abstract setters and getters that you declare as cmp and cmr fields in the
ejb-jar.xml and at the same time override these same inherited abstract setters and
getters.

Hi,
My project is made of several modules. Each module produces its own metadata-aop.xml.
All those modules are used in a web application and packaged in the web-inf/lib
directory. In this context, can I make JBossAOP use several metadata-aop.xml (with
different names of course) ? Could they
I haven't done a lot of experimentation here, so please have patience. What I think
you can do is put stuff in a .sar file or directory as follows:
| myapplication.sar/
| metadata1-aop.xml
| metadata2-aop.xml
| myweb.war

Read these as well:

Hi,
I have done the build several times and it has always generated the zip bundle. As for
your build.xml file, I can't see any differences with mine. What you can do is to
invoke the clean and refresh goal and then try it again.
I must say that it puzzled me. I remember that someone
