You (or eclipse) have checked in the file with the -kk flag. There is a
command to change this but I don't remember by heart, so the quick and
dirty way is to remove and re-add, as a text file.

That is standard behavior for cvs as far as I know and relates to its
lack of real directory support. You can just checkout the missing directory
using the associated module alias. For example, if I remove the jboss-3.2/varia
directory, I can refresh it using:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] jboss-3.2] cvs co -r
Try it now, the problem report regarding cvs synch has been marked as fixed.

Others have indicated this is occurring. You can check the sourceforge status
page to see if this is a known problem. They are supposedly in the process of
upgrading the cvs setup so this could be related.

I set environment variable JAVA_OPTS=-Xmx128m, default is 64m.
But build failed with similar error like yours, posted on the
xdoclet-dev mailing list.
There is a hint to increase available memory for ant using env ANT_OPTS.

OK, I have recompiled in Windows NT jboss with jdk 1.4 and I have the
exception.
Quick and dirty hack: start jboss with
JAVA_OPTS=-Dpolicy.expandProperties=false (see jboss.bat or jboss.sh) or
modify conf/auth.conf + db/hypersonic/default.script as martin has written.

The problem is in the parsing of conf/auth.conf. jboss-sdk1.4 crashes
when parses this fragment:

Yes, Claudio. I recompiled it with jdk 1.4.
Plain build and iiop build (-Dmodules=iiop) worked fine.
On the testsuite (-Dmodules=testsuite) I got a compilation error.

I have the same problem.
JBoss 3.0.0beta2 (CVS HEAD) gives me the same exception with JDK 1.4 on Windows 2000.

The cvs, ant and junit tests will let you do the first bit, then the ftp
task can hook up the rest... not that I would really recommend that.

I was just communicating what I would have to do to get this fixed.
That is all. So perhaps next time we can be more efficient
collectively to get improper locks removed.
