Hi Thomas,
I don't know how Windows calculates the memory usage, but MySQL tends to use a
lot of memory for cache.
You can always switch to Linux for a faster and featureful JFFNMS.

Hello,
can I monitor counters (RSSI on Motorola Canopy)
with jffnms.
I have mib parametr
.1.3.6.1.4.1.161.19.3.2.2.2.0.
Thank You.
O.K.
MySQL is only taking 31k of memory while I have over a 100 processes
running php.exe plus 100 processes of nmap.exe and also cmd.exe. If I
do make the change to Linux who's O/S software do you recommend?
Thank you.

I currently run it on CentOS which is a free os. Its basically Red Hat
Enterprise Linux (which is not free), and updates for the OS come quickly
after Red Hat releases their updates. You can find RPMS for most of the
dependencies that you need for JFFNMS. Ive also run it on Debian, and a
Cobalt.

It turns out my problem stemmed from a number of things.
1) I apparently left the "from" blank on the email alert, that was
fine once I fixed it.
2) Once it got through my thick skull that triggers fire off of
alarms/events. The trigger setup made much more sense. I've since
gotten my custom action
I can't tell you what, but I'd say you have something wrong on your
JFFNMS server. I am running it on an old workstation, it is a 1GhZ
machine with 512RAM, the whole "server" has 38 processes running and it
using about half of that. I am monitoring only 18 hosts but well over
200 interfaces.

I gotta be missing something then and that's why I have so many copies
of the programs running. Any ideas?
Thank you.

Hi,
I failed to do the re-install of 0.8.1. After a few hours
of trace, it stopped in the for loop of $jffnms_configuration
where the key is "logo_image_url". Turned out I was in a
private network from where www.jffnms.org was unreachable.
Can the default value pointing to a local copy of the
