Oops - didn't think about that. Will remember next time :). Sorry.

distribution-specific issues. Isn't this a job for Ubuntu packagers? Can't
distributions apply their own patches for their own reasons and apt-get
source reveals the original code along with the patches?

fine. I had some issues with freshrpms as it seems to have newer
versions of some libraries that plugins-bad couldn't handle.
I added a page to userdocs detailing how I got it all working. Hope it helps
someone :) Or if I've missed an easier way then please change it.

I did write some installation instructions on the userdocs site a while
ago http://userdocs.jokosher.org/JokosherOnSuse
though they're probably a little out of date now. I don't actually use
openSUSE much. I was just playing with vmware and setting up Jokosher on
a few different OSes. Feel free
The updated gnonlin 0.10.8 packages are now in gutsy. They don't install on
feisty however as they are built with a newer libc. I've downloaded the
source packages and rebuilt them on feisty for amd64 and i386. Please try
them and see if they are OK with you.

A lot of people (including me) don't appear to have got this. It could
be a victim of gmail's spam filters so I'm trying it without all the
technical detail at the end. It is on the mail archive website if
anyone's interested.

Is there a package for 0.9 in gutsy? The ubuntu package search page
still shows version 0.2-1.1
And does it work in feisty?

Also in opensuse 10.2 if you enable the Packman repositories then
there is a package for 0.9 already there and ready for installing
through the yast software installer.

One of the most common problems being reported with 0.9 is a gstreamer
error 'pipeline cannot operate with selected clock' when trying to
record. This doesn't happen to me on my box using Feisty. However when
running Jokosher on opensuse under vmware recording does fail with
this error message. I t

Getting this to work in seems to be a little tricky. I was running
AMD64 version which also needs a hack to work.
First of all the gstreamer ladspa plugin is in gst-plugins-bad which
is not included in the standard repository so you need to enable a
third party repo. I used freshrpms. If you go to
Not had the chance to give it a full whirl but at first glance this
looks spot on to me and fits in nicely with recent simplifications.
What do other people think?
Thanks Knut.
