Can anyone on linux give the attached script a test and make sure it

What file name shall I give the checked in version? I like just using
openjump rather than having a .sh and platform on the
maybe linking it prominently on jump webspaces (wiki?) might help
or
advertising in additional newsgroups/mailinglists (eg. geotools) ?

This makes me wonder if developers are indeed people or not...
Jokes apart, people don't like surveys too...
I think a forum would be much more appreciated.

lack is its userfriendlyness. But projections are thought for expert
users, and not for day to day gis users.

Remember that spatial enabled RDBMS (like PostGIS or Oracle)
are already capable of doing projection, so one solution
is to pass a SRID code as a parameter to a Datastore connection
and let the Datastore driver do the conversion on the fly.

can somebody provide these?
the newer geotool libs use a EPSG (wkt?) library which contains a lot of
projections:
(uuh.. i just saw that they changed the website since last year)
Does anyone have MacOSX? If so could you try the new startup script, I'd
like to see if there are any issues on that platform.

I have some quick comments. First let me say that I think the concept
you propose is an intersting one, and that I'm not dismissing it

I'm not aware of any blocking issue in Geotools referencing module. Can someone
from OpenJump side share with us which problems they encounter?
Not me. Of course, I remember why the Save as File was created in the
first place. It was to get rid of that darn Format menu in the upper
left of the dialog that confused everyone.

You're right. We do agree. Reading my response again, I didn't
express myself clearly. I haven't updated the SourceForge SkyJUIMP
download since we moved the format menu to the bottom. Of course, you
can always compare the SourceForge Java code.
