The cause is that methods with a QVariant as a parameter type called from js
always get a QJSValue as QVariant.
Even passing trivial types such as integers results in a QVariant with a
QJSValue in it.

It's the base, i will be very surprised.
The C++ exception is generated by Exiv2. We catch all C++ exceptions from Exiv2

I don't see how we can ship a profile in pbi which allows firefox to execute it
- firefox' profile denies execution of anything except of whitelisted
executables.
