I simply can't believe that this is the expected behavior. When you're using
dolphin, for example, the places pane is "desaturated" if you select a file,
but obviously you want it fully saturated

Actually, using green as the highlight color still makes the yellow difficult
to see. Probably something like purple would be better for contrast as the
