One quick fix if you need it is to right click on the desktop icons>sort, and
sort the icons in anyway and it will refresh and remove the zombie icons.

Wow! This is very unexpected. On macOS the shortcut to open Preferences is

While the DigiKam app starts up and runs via the icon I found that it is the
updated system PATH and use of the terminal cli that enables the Hugin to work
correctly. Have I done something wrong?

Maik, also determined that digicam 7.6.0 works fine with both 8- and 16-bit TIF
images. Using 16-bit TIF is a better work around. My work flow is Nikon Z7 >

I'm using a Canon eos700d, eq6 mount and asi120mm guide camera.
The error occurs after taking around 15 to 20 frames (could be more, could be

I set the QT_LOGGING_RULES as you suggested, it made a huge difference to the
speed. It seems that everything in digikam ran faster.

OK, some processes seem to be queued. Is it not possible to queue Move/Merge?
That isn't a complaint, I'm curious and happy to wait for processes to
complete.
The thumbnail process doesn't appear every time

OK I will try 7.7.0.
I don’t know how to recreate the problem, but Mariadb came up with the same
message when I deleted what I thought were the log files.
