loaded in editor to 16 bits color depth.

Yes - build 22.10.2023 loads my Heif file, but I cannot create >8 Heif by
exporting/saving from Digikam (same for TIFF). Typical problems are:

Hmm, when reading the metadata again, the color depth increases to 16bit. But I
don't see any difference in the colors, I guess I'll have to take a screenshot.
