This is a bit weird and cannot reproduce.

Can you try running it from the terminal and see if there's anything relevant
going on?

You can run it similarly to how the plasmoid does it by calling:
plasma-discover --mode update

Thanks!

[plasmashell] [Bug 383360] New: Unable to set mouse acceleration to 0 using mouse config panel

2017-08-10 Thread Alex
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383360

Bug ID: 383360
   Summary: Unable to set mouse acceleration to 0 using mouse
config panel
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.10.4
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: ene...@gmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

I own Zowie FK2 mouse and tried to disable acceleration using mouse options
panel. Unfortunatelly setting aceleration to 1.0 doesn't seem to work (it was
working fine with my old Intellimouse). As workaround I set "flat" acceleration
profile in additional Xorg config file:

Section "InputClass"
Identifier "Kingsis Peripherals ZOWIE Gaming mouse"
Driver "libinput"
MatchIsPointer "yes"
Option "AccelProfile" "flat"
EndSection

I'm not sure how acceleration is set by mouse settings panel, but I can provide
help as I own this mouse.

It's similar, but with a little difference:
- Hitting Enter immediately scrolls to the bottom
- Hitting one of the Meta keys scrolls to the bottom when new text is appended
to the end
  (e.g. by tail -f). This can also happen minutes after hitting the Meta key.

2017-08-10 Thread Maximilian Böhm
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354111

--- Comment #20 from Maximilian Böhm  ---
Can confirm this, glad I’m not the only one. Disabling the splash screen does
indeed work around the issue. On, it takes my AMD FX-8350 with SSD 32 sec to
fully login vs 7 sec with second monitor disconnected.
This bug clearly needs to be resolved. I’m actually baffled that this is a
thing at all. One would assume that the KDE dev group would have some overlap
with the group of power users having multiple monitor setups.
How can I provide the needed infos?

The keyboard is a UK "Logitech k120 Business" (USB) and in (KDE) "System Setup

Numlock on Plasma Startup is set to "Leave Unchanged"

Numlock is set to "On" in the PC BIOS (Also legacy, not UEFI)
/etc/sddm.conf sets Numlock=on

Yes, the shift key, as well as the key provokes this "once-only at

Now a thought: the BIOS on this system (old, not UEFI) doesn't have a NumLock

Setting the SysConfig KBD_NUMLOCK value to "yes" didn't affect the KDE Plasma

Also, it didn't enable the keyboard's NumLock indicator during the Linux boot .

Hey meku,

yes, I saw these errors yesterday, too. Getting rid of the errors is easy but
does not solve the main problem that lft and rgt are not updated properly.

If noone does solve the problem before I do, I will try again to solve it

The "Position" spinboxes in the Move Tool options will not be set to the
correct values when an undo or redo has occurred.

If one were to repeatedly move a layer down to the bottom-right and then undo,
the numbers will accumulate the total distance the layer has been moved.

--- Comment #2 from Nicholas LaPointe  ---
Git commit d6f7619cc99bf5e8b294cfe2eb47de8e4c7d3c89 by Nicholas LaPointe.
Committed on 10/08/2017 at 08:49.
Pushed by nicholasl into branch 'krita/3.2'.

Scale channel values by 255.0 when sending a non-RGBA image to G'MIC

A different code path is taken depending on whether or not the image data to be
sent to G'MIC is in the RGBA space.
In the RGBA case, the channel values are scaled to range between 0.0 and 255.0
In the non-RGBA case, the values were not being similarly scaled before this
commit.
(In both cases, the image is converted to use 32-bit float RGBA before any
scaling is applied.)

This is different from how the old plug-in worked:
Old plug-in
convertToGmicImageFast() on RGBA image fills gmicImage._data with values
between 0.0 and 1.0
convertToGmicImage() on non-RGBA image fills gmicImage._data with values
between 0.0 and 1.0

New plug-in, after commit
convertToGmicImageFast() on RGBA image fills gmicImage->_data with values
between 0.0 and 255.0
convertToGmicImage() on non-RGBA image fills gmicImage->_data with values
between 0.0 and 255.0

New plug-in, before commit
convertToGmicImageFast() on RGBA image fills gmicImage->_data with values
between 0.0 and 255.0
convertToGmicImage() on non-RGBA image fills gmicImage->_data with values
between 0.0 and 1.0

[valgrind] [Bug 381553] VEX register allocator v3

2017-08-10 Thread Ivo Raisr
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381553

--- Comment #66 from Ivo Raisr  ---
Pending no other problems arise, I would like to land new VEX register
allocator v3 after SVN->GIT migration is completed and the dust settles. That
is in 2-3 weeks from now.

The new version v3 will be the default; it will be possible to switch to the
old version v2 with command line option:
--vex-regalloc-version=2

Please shout now if you would like me to address your concerns about regalloc
v3.

--- Comment #2 from Ralf Habacker  ---
The issue happens always in case only one data value is available for each
account group.

The axis display has been fixed mostly in the 4.8 branch by updating to KDChart
2.6 (see attachment 107187).

The remaining issue is also shown on attachment 107187 : The data value is
displayed on the left side of the diagram not in the center area.

Harald, there's explicit code in servicerunner that also erroneously(?) matches

if (!service->isApplication()) {

--- Comment #1 from Nicholas LaPointe  ---
Git commit 26e32b7eba0920955cbdc45779b0dc8a32c673cf by Nicholas LaPointe.
Committed on 10/08/2017 at 08:49.
Pushed by nicholasl into branch 'master'.

[plasmashell] [Bug 383287] 'GNOME Application Style (GTK)' module is not showing upon search in 'Application Menu'/'Application Dashboard'

2017-08-10 Thread Harald Sitter
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383287

--- Comment #5 from Harald Sitter  ---
Copy pasta from IRC for the record:

‎[10:47] ‎<‎sitter‎>‎ kbroulik: foo-desktop.desktop is foo/desktop.desktop on
disk (haven't read bug yet)
‎[10:51] ‎<‎sitter‎>‎ kbroulik: mh, yeah, I think that is the problem here. the
startsWith code is to filter out the old KDE3
`/usr/share/applications/kde/foo.desktop` entities which have the desktop id
`kde-foo.desktop`
‎[10:52] ‎<‎sitter‎>‎ also see
https://specifications.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/desktop-entry-spec-latest.html#desktop-file-id
... it's bit of a mess in the spec which I guess is largely because we put our
stuff into a subdir even before the spec was a thing
‎[10:53] ‎<‎sitter‎>‎ seeing as the kde-* filter is only applicable to KDE3 we
can probalby drop it, I think the better fix is to rename the KCM though.
inparticular kde-* and kde4-* I can easily imagine being subject to filtering
in more places than just the service runner

You are right, sorry, that was all caused by a typo while trying to reproduce
my issue that is actually different...

The problem is that the classes are generated, but the methods are not imported
for example see the difference in the classes foo and bar generated by this:

---
namespace test {
class foo;

class bar
{
bar();
};

} // namespace test

class test::foo
{
test();
};

Status: UNCONFIRMED

 Component: general

Add ability to select multiple files and/or folders (and on different panels
too) for splitting.

'Compress to Archive' window can appear with previously selected files/folders
and then - the newly created archive can be placed in 'Split File...' window.

The proposed procedure is next:
1. You select multiple files/folders.
2. Press 'Split File...'.
3.'Compress to Archive' window appears for selected files/folders.
4. After pressing 'OK' - archive with selected files will be created.
5. (Created archive can be selected in panel) then - 'Split File...' window
appears for previously created archive.

Also if multiple files/folders are selected 'Split File...' menu entry can be
changed into 'Compress to Archive and Split...' or something.
