[frameworks-kglobalaccel] [Bug 367953] Global shortcuts not working on modified keys

2016-08-29 Thread Martin Gräßlin via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367953

Can you try restarting kglobalaccel after changing the keyboard layout to have
numlock as a key.

Btw. I'm not sure whether one can use numlock at all as a global shortcut. It
might have been a bug that this worked on Qt 4.

>const*, QWidget*) ()
The callstack indicates that the crash happens somewhere in
ClassifierWidget::paint() performing an invalid dynamic cast.
An invalid cast is performed in classifier() called at line 672:
UMLClassifier *umlc = this->classifier();
which expands to
return dynamic_cast(m_umlObject);

Stackoverflow mentioned several reasons for crashing dynamic cast here
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/278429/what-could-cause-a-dynamic-cast-to-crash.

The most common reason for such issues is that the related m_umlObject has been
destroyed, which we can catch with QPointer.

[krusader] [Bug 367985] New: Browsing archives as directories stopped working in 15.08

2016-08-29 Thread Alexei via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367985

Bug ID: 367985
Summary: Browsing archives as directories stopped working in
15.08
   Product: krusader
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: krarc
  Assignee: m...@fork.pl
  Reporter: alexei_nova...@yahoo.com

Installed new version krusader 15.08 "Clear Skies". Browsing archives as
directories stopped working altogether for all types of archives, including
tar. Before I had version 2.4.0, it was working fine. I ensured that
"application/zip" and "application/x-zip" protocols are added under krarc in
"Protocols" section. I checked docs in
https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/extragear-utils/krusader/konfig-archives.html
and should mention that I didn't find "Browse Archives As Directories" checkbox
in "Archives" section.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on "zip" archive file (or any other archive)
2.
3.

Actual Results:
The archive is started in Ark instead of in of krusader panel.

Expected Results:
Archive can be browsed in krusader panel.

Not sure if this is a bug at all. Maybe I misconfigured something, but I've
never had this problem in any previous version of krusader.

Here are the excerpts from krusaderrc:

Oh, also, I want to add that, for me at least, it isn't just the icon that's
broken but also the list of wifi networks that comes up when clicking on it. If
it's showing the wrong icon, then the list treats it like it isn't connected to
any wifi networks even though hovering over the icon (like in the OP's
screenshot) and looking in settings shows it is.

[kdenlive] [Bug 367984] New: Clip Speed effect is lost after moving clips with speed fx applied, saving project, closing and opening it again

2016-08-29 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367984

Bug ID: 367984
Summary: Clip Speed effect is lost after moving clips with
speed fx applied, saving project, closing and opening
it again
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: 16.08.0
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: critical
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Effects & Transitions
  Assignee: vpi...@kde.org
  Reporter: oo...@o2.pl

I love KDENLIVE, Yet there are some very basic problems that persist through
about 4 yeard, that i'm using it. it makes a lot of pain and going around
problems that shouldn't exist at a such od advanced stage of this project,
that's why i decided to start contributing in this way as of right now:
My suggestions that are regarding this problem, and as well those that exist
ever since i can remember this project - at least 5 years:
1. Timeline structure/ the way that clips are being positioned and
saved/remembered on timeline - every change in any way is messing up all clips
positions, fx's applied, lengths etc.. I think the change is absolutely needed.
No other NLE's have such root/basic problems when switching between different
framerates, and loosing clips/fx's positions without any reason, like this bug
that i am filling..
A simple saving and opening of project can loose all effects that are applied
to clips.
right now i MUST create /save a new project every 15/30 minutes of editing so
when at one point without any specific reason it will loose all / or any
effects or cuts applied to clips - i can somehow recover and recreate work
already done.
PLEASE Consider this if you ever want thins project succeed as much as i would
want - whether in Windows environment, or in linux world.. it simply CANNOT be
freezing, and loosing these most basic points. - HOW do other champs like sony
vegas or whoever for this case do it? premiere, edius.. they'v got it down for
at least 10 years..
Maybe switch to some absolute hook/ scalable/ vector/ quantifier based system
for all events, and correlation system to connect fx/to specific clip as
well(?),
so regardless of framerate and such it would keep precise points .. and
conversions would be possible as well without loosing ALL Edits, cuts, fx's,
fades, etc..
I believe it would be a REVOLUTIONARY Step, that could fix maybe even up to 30%
of all bugs related to timeline/fx's problems?
2. Unable to apply speed to reverse clip.. it messes up clip and creates a thin
line out of whole clip, that is unworkable.
now i reverse clip - render it out - put it on a time line and apply speed fx.
- this problem also exists for a long time
3.Edit mode on a single timeline like in sony vegas - that you can overlaps
clips and set crossfade point of clip a and b - it makes it quite faster and
nicer to use.
4.Playback speed - possibility of setting playback speed so there would be no
lost frames - even with older machines, and on full quality - 3/4 speed, 1/2,
and 1/4th should be sufficient.
5.Playback Quality - it appeared in 16.08 - which is nice - draft/ and HQ -
however i do not see a big difference cpu usage is still high, and i get jerky
playback/not smooth
I have an i7 processor and material is canon fullhd mov file It is not smooth
regardless of whether i have 2 cores, or 8 cores, and it shouldn't be like that
In premiere/vegas it is easy to make smooth playback even in 1/4 or 1/8th
original quality - and do full edit on laptop - and set it to render on
stationary machine.
Especially in a era of 4k and 8k RAW source clips.. that you already are
preparing /ready for-which is great- .
This option will be a VERY Important to be able to choose even 1/16 of original
resolution - which will be enough for editing on a low end laptop - and than
move it to Fully blown NLE Hardware..
6. if you have any recommendation/ combinantion of distro/ that is most stable
and those problems do not apply / exist - please do put it up on MAIN WEb site
as recommended , and put PRECISELY EACH Component, repository, number, and
such, so people will have a smooth ride and not get discouraged.
7. some way of donating/ fund raising to speed up of solving most important
problems.
many people have money, but do not have skills, nor time to personally help -
then it should be PRIORI Visible on main page. ABSOLUTELY. I'd rather pay
50$/or 100 to fix those problems/implement to kdenlive, than spend it on sony
vegas..
All of the best to THE Team!!, and project!>
Cheers!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.put clips to bin
2.moove them to timeline
3.apply speed to clips on timeline
4.make come cuts, adjustments like in point, out point fade in out.
5.move clips around
6. save project, close
7.open project
8 move clips around, save, close project
9.open project - speed effect will be "gone" - either physically from clip
effects stack, orit will be there, value

When sending invitations from my contacts or recent addresses drop-down list,
with outgoing mail server smtp.gmail.com, I get the following error : " Message
sending failed since the following recipients were rejected by the server".

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. I send an invitation to someone from the drop-down list (from my contact
list) with the format "ContactName ".

Actual Results:
I always get the following error : "E-Mail Sending Failed - Failed to transport
message. Message sending failed since the following recipients were rejected
by the server: ContactName (The server responded: "5.5.2 Syntax error
g78sm112724itb.12 - gsmtp")

Expected Results:
To receive a notification displaying that the e-mail has been sent
successfully.

1. My outgoing mail server is "smtp.gmail.com".
2. I tried with the outgoing mail server "smtp-mail.outlook.com" and it works
as expected.
3. It is a google-smtp-related problem.
4. An easy, but not user-friendly, workaround is to remove the "ContactName<"
and ">" part of the drop-down list contact. The drop-down list is useful to
get contacts and recent e-mail addresses, but with this bug, it becomes less
useful.

When I put an icon on the plasma desktop, it appears on the top left side
really small, under the hamburger menu.
Therefore making it hard to resize and align with the other icons. Also the
text underneath is not properly aligning. This behavior only happens after the
instalation. On the live image, it works fine.

[plasmashell] [Bug 367981] New: Changing the "screen" property has no effect.

2016-08-29 Thread Pierre Dumuid via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367981

Bug ID: 367981
Summary: Changing the "screen" property has no effect.
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.7.3
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Panel
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: pmdum...@gmail.com

In accordance with
https://userbase.kde.org/KDE_System_Administration/PlasmaDesktopScripting#Activities_and_Panels

The "screen" property of a panel should be read/writable, however changing it
has no effect.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have a dual monitor configuration with at least one panel.
2. Launch runner via "Alt F2", type "scripting console" and select "Desktop
shell scripting console"
3. Paste the following code:

r = panels()
print("===> Current:")
print(r[0].screen)
print(r[0].location)
print("===> Setting new value (make them different to current):")
r[0].screen = 1;
r[0].location = 'top';
r[1].reloadConfig()

Actual Results:
Changing location attribute changes position of panel, (top vs bottom) however
changing screen umber has no effect, (moving the panel manually and re-running
the script does update the value, so it appears that the value is read-only.

Expected Results:
Panel should have moved from one screen to the other.

On a side note, the "version" in
https://userbase.kde.org/KDE_System_Administration/PlasmaDesktopScripting#Activities_and_Panels

is listed under the list headed by the sentence, "as well as the following
read/write properties:" however clearly the version should be read-only!

[digikam] [Bug 367979] New: Crashes when scanning directories on network drive

2016-08-29 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367979

Bug ID: 367979
Summary: Crashes when scanning directories on network drive
   Product: digikam
   Version: 5.1.0
Platform: Mac OS X Disk Images
OS: OS X
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Import
  Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: b...@wt.net

Performing initial setup using digikam 5.1 (using a remote DB) and pointed it
towards a network drive holding my image folders to import them. Unfortunately
it crashed at about 15% complete. (stack trace below)

Upon re-opening digikam, it seemed to try and perform the scan again but it
zoomed through all the directories quickly as if it had been successful
earlier. When opening the folders only about 15% of the images showed up, the
rest were empty.

The new 5.1 looks like a good improvement on OSX though, wasn't able to specify
a network drive before in the dialog.

Sorry, but a type-trainer should be able to run on a Core 2 Duo. If a beginner
can type faster then the program updates the display, you are seriously broken.
Please apply the patch or fix the underlying problem.

Thanks for the report

Notification text is already selectable with Plasma notifications, as fixed in
bug 358981. If this doesn't work, please reopen bug 358981 with more details
and ideally attach a screenshot of where you're trying to select the text, so
that we're sure we're talking about the same thing.

Thanks!

can type faster then the program updates the display, you are seriously broken.
Please apply the patch or fix the underlying problem.

[marble] [Bug 357046] Pedestrian routing not working.

Łukasz changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||lrajchel1...@gmail.com

I have a similar problem, neither Car (shortest), Bicycle nor Pedestrian
routing options work. I've set up a custom routing using OSRM, which works.

Interestingly, OSM online service uses GraphHopper and Mapzen services, which
work very well on the OSM website.

I've reported similar problem for older version of Marble:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344915
now I've tested with fresh Fedora 24 installation:

Version 1.14.1 (stable release)
KDE Frameworks 5.25.0
Qt 5.6.1 (built against 5.6.1)
The xcb windowing system

Maybe it would be a good idea to change to the above-mentioned services and
drop those not working?

[kwin] [Bug 367975] New: Grid Task Switcher: Please add number "badge" or at least an indicator for switch items that represent >1 window

2016-08-29 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367975

Bug ID: 367975
Summary: Grid Task Switcher: Please add number "badge" or at
least an indicator for switch items that represent >1
window
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.7.3
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: effects-tabbox
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: andydecle...@gmail.com

The "Only one window per application" option helps the task switcher stay less
cluttered, especially when using the Grid switcher.

It can be misleading and confusing however, that the Grid switcher offers no
indication that there is more than one window in any group.

So I am requesting that some sort of multi-window indicator be added to the
Grid switcher. This could take the form of a specific numerical badge (or
appended number to the window title displayed), or it could be a non-numerical
(boolean) indicator symbol.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set Task Switcher to Grid mode
2. Choose "Only one window per application"
3. Use task switcher

Actual Results:
There's no apparent difference between single windows and window groups.

Expected Results:
It would be more usable if multi-window groups indicated that they were just
that, rather than actual single windows.

I use the task switcher with the "All windows" shortcut first (and "Only one
window per application" enabled), and then drill down to the specific window
with the "Current application" shortcut. It would be nice to know for sure
which windows were really representing a window set, so I could confidently
drill down only when appropriate.

I'm using Skanlite v. 2.0
The Program starts normal.
Preview runs normal.
Using "Scanning" returns the answer "Invalid Argument"

Starting Skanlite with now Preview and directly using Scanning runs normal (but
it's not fine without having a preview).

OS: openSuSE Tumbleweed
Scanner: HP Laserjet Pro 200 color M276nw
xsane runs normal

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Starting Skanlite
2. Pressing the Preview Button
3. Pressing the Scan Button

Actual Results:
Starting the program and pressing the preview Button works fine.
Afterwards using the scan button gives the error "Invalid Argument" -- nothing
happens

Starting skanlite without using the preview but using the scan button works
fine. But there is no possibility to adjust something.

[digikam] [Bug 301936] Rename by date is based on 'date modified' not 'date created'

2016-08-29 Thread Miquel via KDE Bugzilla

Gilles, I'm facing the same problem in Ubuntu 16.04/Digikam 5.1.0.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Image's EXIF date taken: 02/09/2015 13:13
2. Copied the image from the SD card to an external hard disk to made a backup
3. Then copied again from the external hard disk to the laptop's hard disk to
import to digikam. The file's dates get changed: date accessed: 22/08/2016
11:23:18, and date modified 21/08/2016 17:10:51. The EXIF date is the same ;-)
4. Import -> Add images...
5. Select the image to import, rename to custom "[date]" (the same behaviour
with "[date:ISO]", "[date:MMdd]", etc.)
6. The filename of the imported image is 20160821T171051.JPG (for NEF files the
date is the same)

The strange thing is that if i rename the imported file (F2) using the same
format "[date]" I get the correct image name: 20150902T131352.JPG

Regards
Miquel

Initially, the Kate package was missing the Help component. I installed
'khelpcenter4 through Synaptic.

Then, when selecting Help (F1), brings up the Kate help menu with the
following message:
"Help:/kate/index.html file or folder does not exist" so the Help menu listing
does nothing.

Committed on 29/08/2016 at 18:31.
Pushed by albertvaka into branch 'master'.

We should always emit an entry for "."

Note this doesn't fix the bug yet, as the KIO just redirects to the SSHFS,
which happens to have the same problem.

This is reproducible with most Electron apps which place a icon in the system
tray ─ not with all (Discord for example works fine). The icons are too big
(oversized) most of the times and won't fit in. To be honest, its an visual
distration.

It seems to be a kernel driver bug or such, as linux 4.6 has resolved this.
Testing with linux 4.4 brings the issue back. I'll mark this as resolved.

[digikam] [Bug 367853] Digikam hangs on 'Reading database' when stumbling across MacOS' Photos Library of a huge size (>20GB)

2016-08-29 Thread Lars Van Casteren via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367853

--- Comment #7 from Lars Van Casteren ---
I got it up & running with some major trickery using MariaDB 10.1.14 (lots of
manual config stuff & creating mysql. innoDB tables etc before DK would
continue) but in the end I get the same result when adding $HOME/Pictures
collection where the Photos library is located.
The scan hangs at the same 43% in DK frontend using the local MariaDB. Exactly
the same behaviour like SQLite.

MariaDB [(none)]> select count(*) from digikam.albums;
+--+
| count(*) |
+--+
| 106600 |
+--+
1 row in set (0.02 sec)

106600 seemed like a strange round number to me for the amount of subfolder but
it checks out, $find . -type d | wc -l returns 106600 subfolders.

Another test I did was to create a large number of directories in a collection
to see what would happen.
*note: it might take a minute or 3 to create the 11 subdirs...

$for ((i=1;i<=11;i++)); do mkdir-p testdir/$i; done

I ran a clean DK instance with SQLite and point to testdir as a collection so
it would scan it and add the albums.
Same problem applies. It starts scanning but it hangs after a while and doesn't
seem to generate the (huge) tree although it’s just a single tree without
subfolders or images.

Rgds,
Lars
