When install a .deb file which not in any mirror. there is no way to get this
package installed information (even no way to test this package is installed or
not).

because any package information is getting from Package class, if some package
is installed but not in mirror, we can't get this Package object from Backend.

I was deleting (moving to trash) about 20 .mp4 video files of a total size of
around 10GB+.
I wanted to cancel the delete, so I went to notifications and stopped the
delete. Plasma hesitated, then crashed.

When I first clicked on notifications, the panel came up blank, there was
nothing there. All I could see was the small shadow around where the panel
should have been.
I closed it and reopened it, and then it came up and showed everything as
expected.

However, some ARM devices also come with PCI(e), and for these devices PCI info
is needed.

I think KInfoCenter should give a empty page on devices without PCI, like other
not-so-usual buses (e.g. IEEE1394); directly exit is not a good behavior.

I don't like forcing 'setExpanding(false);'  The only downside to the current
behavior is not being able to double-click on empty space to create new tab.

We develop for fun in our spare time so no need to stress ourselves. So please

important.

When I run the command for system settings in terminator

Every time System Settings > Workspace Theme > Desktop Theme is opened, it
immediately follows in a crash.

On Arch KDE, used sudo pacman -S plasma to download.

Actual Results: The entire System Settings application crashed.

Expected Results: System Settings opens the Desktop Theme gui in the
application.

Build Date & Platform: KDE 5.10.4 (Kernel:4.12.3-1-ARCH) 64-bit

Installed the Breeze theme.
Ended up reinstalling Plasma with pacaur -S plasma. Bug still occurred.

When I tried running the systemsettings5 application in the terminal...

A toolkit did have a problem with this - Qt. Hence the workaround I referred to
in comment 1.

I don't think the risk is terribly big as other window managers follow the spec
closer here. But it is a minor issue and Qt already has a workaround, so a

SOrry, tried to answer on android, and french T9 has destroy all my words :)

So I was meaning that the reply Button is working fine. The problem (at least
for me), is that when using more than one activities, the Reply window may
appear on the non current activity.
I noticed it some weeks ago, I was wondering why sometime when I click, the
reply button appeared, and why in some other cases, the reply button was like
inoperative.

But now I know. When I click the reply button, and don't see the reply window,
I switch to another activity, and there I find it :)

So yes it's a bug, it still has to be resolved.

No form of copying is possible from konsole.  I have the following settings:

I have tried these operations to copy text to the clipboard or the selection:

1.  Simple selection.
2.  Selection then C-S-c.
3.  Selection, right-click, select "Copy"

None of these operations pushes any data to the clipboard or selection.  I've
verified that the X selection isn't changed by trying to paste into various
apps as well as dumping the contents of the primary, secondary, and clipboard
selections using 'xsel'.

I'm currently on KDE Neon 5.10.2.

Kernel 4.12, Mesa 17.1, Plasma 5.10.3 (5.10.4 wasn't available at the time of
testing, but can retry with this version), Firefox 54, mpv 0.25.0 (was the
current version at that time)

I got an old LCD 1280x1024 display connected via DVI which supports both 60Hz
and 75Hz.
When I set it to 75Hz, automatic scrolling in Firefox (can be enabled in the
options for 3rd mouse button, full OGL acceleration via about:config) is
stuttery. It looks very much like it was scrolling with 60fps, which naturally
looks stuttery at 75Hz display refreshrate. This stuttering disappears when I
set the display to 60Hz.
This is not an issue of Firefox but Plasma's compositor since the stuttering
with 75Hz disappears when I disable Plasma's compositor. It runs with totally
fluid 75fps @ 75Hz then.

mpv also suffers some stuttering, even with 60Hz and 60fps video. This issue
disappears as well with disabled Plasma compositing.

I also tried a custom edid file for the display which always forces it to 75Hz
(60Hz aren't reported as available then), that unfortunately didn't help.
Plasma's compositing of moving windows looks totally smooth to me on the
contrary (also without the custom edid and normally selected 75Hz in Plasma
System Settings), so it "only" seems to be a problem with the content of
windows, not the windows themselves (but I'm just guessing).

Now the thing is: When I enforce KWIN_USE_INTEL_SWAP_EVENT, every mentioned
problem disappears. Both Firefox and mpv are absolutely smooth then at any
refreshrate, and so is KWin compositing still in general.
Unfotunately, the lock-up bug described on the environment variables help site
still exists. This seems to usually hapen when the compositing gets turned off,
so probably simply not allowing applications to turn off compositing could work
well enough.

However, it of course would be better if everything worked right ootb and
without drawbacks.
