[krita] [Bug 401712] Blur brush mixes colour with white when near the edge of image
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401712 vanyossi changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ghe...@gmail.com --- Comment #3 from vanyossi --- The way krita works when you paint in the offcanvas area is to paint "behind" the gray area. you can see how this is a problem working on background layers and Blending. 1. Create new image and delete the top layer 2. Fill background with a non color white 3. Use move tool and reveal white. 4. to avoid white. Select Rectangular tool and use an eraser brush to fillover the gray area near the edge. 5 Now blend and you should get alpha not white as blended color. What to do now? generate some content in that border. When painting just paint outside in the gray area so you put pixel data outside the border. If a complex image is already done: Mirror your edge contents or grow a copy of your image to fill those edges. 1. Duplicate current layer 2. Scale duplicated to grow over the edge a little. 3. Set dublipated layer below 4. Merge both layers. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 374972] High Pass Filter
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374972 --- Comment #11 from reptilli...@live.com --- Update - Now, all that is needed is to get mixColors operation to work on the code, and the basic version of high pass is finished. Decided to skip grayscale version as using desaturate filter mask and high pass should fix that issue nicely, and it would be tremendously difficult to mix the current high pass with desaturate. I'm not sure about DC preservation, but I hear that direct math isn't possible, so I don't know if you could use overlay mode. Mix colors could make it possible to generate average colors. I might even create average colors filter which averages all the colors except for alpha colors. [frameworks-solid] [Bug 394348] Umounting mounted disk image (e.g. .iso file) does not remove it from Device Notifier
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394348 Rok Mandeljc changed: What|Removed |Added CC||rok.mande...@gmail.com --- Comment #62 from Rok Mandeljc --- Created attachment 119390 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=119390&action=edit Handle media change events for devices that are connected after initial introspection (In reply to Stefan Brüns from comment #60) > Its not a bug in K3B, but in CDEmu. I have just verified "Releasing" (aka > unmounting) a *real* CD from a real drive, and it stays in the device > notifier, giving the option to remount, copy with k3b or open in various > programs (implicitly remounting it). > > When I press eject (either in the device notifier, or from the dolphin > context menu), it vanishes. Hello, this bug report was linked in a bug report opened against CDEmu. However, as far as I can tell, this is an issue with Solid, because I can also reproduce it with my USB optical drive (ASUS BW-12D1S-U) - if I connect it to system after Plasma session has been started. More specifically, the issue is that in udisks2 backend, Manager::slotMediaChanged() is connected to udisks2' PropertiesChanged signal only for UDIs that are present during the initial Manager::allDevices() call (which probably happens at session startup). For devices that are connected later (such as a CDEmu virtual device, or an external USB drive), this connection is not established. Consequently, the medium change is not properly detected and available Content is not updated, and so its stale content triggers the K3b Device action due to content-based predicate still evaluating as true. I have attached a proof-of-concept patch that seems to fix the issue for me. It is based on assumption that addition of "org.freedesktop.UDisks2.Block" interface means that a new device has been added, and it that case checks if it is an optical device (in the same way as is done in Manager::introspect()). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Sidebar items' text gets elided for window sizes any smaller than being maximized. See attached screenshot. In English, this affects "Recently Played" and "Frequently Playing", and I imagine the problem is even worse in languages where test is generally longer. It seems like there are two problems here: 1. The sidebar dynamically resizes itself according to the window width instead of being a fixed size according to the length of the longest string 2. Sidebar items' text is really large, exacerbating problem #1. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-plasma] [Bug 406478] New: Show latest program window thumbnail in taskbar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406478 Bug ID: 406478 Summary: Show latest program window thumbnail in taskbar Product: frameworks-plasma Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: components Assignee: notm...@gmail.com Reporter: watisthis...@outlook.com Target Milestone: --- Implement mode for taskbar that allows pausing programs but also stores and shows the latest available thumbnail. The taskbar should show the latest available thumbnail instead of changing it to the app icon. -Compositor's settings have Keep window thumbnails options Never, Only for shown windows and Always. Setting it to always shows a hint that says something along the lines "Always showing window thumbnails disrupts minimized state of the windows. Hence some windows won't stop their work when minimized." -So, selecting the option Only for shown windows is required for some programs like games to automatically pause their sound and graphics when they are minimized. It is probably quite popular choice as many people don't want to hear a game when they Alt-Tab out. -This, however, is quite restrictive as it disables thumbnails for every minimized window. Now the thumbnail for minimized window is just the program icon, which is normally already visible on left of the program name (hence of no use). Latest thumbnail, even if not completely up-to-date, would be much more helpful. As I see it, the whole idea of thumbnails is to help identify the program window and that would be especially important for minimized windows. Maybe the mode should have a hint in compositor settings saying "thumbnails for minimized windows may not be up-to-date". Also, is it possible to detect paused programs and have only their thumbnail generation paused? -e.g. Microsoft Windows seems to mostly show the latest thumbnail -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[elisa] [Bug 406477] New: Better support for multiple user-saved playlists
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406477 Bug ID: 406477 Summary: Better support for multiple user-saved playlists Product: elisa Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: matthieu_gall...@yahoo.fr Reporter: n...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 119382 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=119382&action=edit How Lollypop handles saved playlists Right now Elisa does support user-saved playlists. You can save the current playlist to disk, and open it later via the file open dialog. However this is a pretty awkward workflow compared to other music players I've used. Here are some ways that the UX could be inproved: - When a playlist is saved, don't spawn a save dialog; instead, ask for a name and automatically save it to an appropriate location on disk (presumably somewhere in ~/Music?) - All saved playlists should be visible in a new "Saved Playlists" item in the sidebar This would allow user-saved playlists to actually be useful because you could access them quickly using the main UI rather than having to tediously open them using a dialog. I'm attaching a screenshot of how Lollypop does it, for comparison. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[elisa] [Bug 406476] New: Improve grid delegates' hover button usability

The grid delegates in genre/artist/album views have three buttons that appear on mouse hover. However they suffer from some issues: - The grid delegates are quite small - The entire grid delegate is not clickable; you need to click on one of the individual icons - All three icons are the same size - When the icons appear, the art behind it becomes washed out and you can no longer see what it is I really like the way Lollypop handles this same situation. There, the grid delegates are larger, and the whole thing is always clickable; a click takes you into that item to the next level of navigation. However on hover, additional buttons appear allowing you to play all items in it or add it to the current playlist. These buttons cover up some of the art, but most of it is still visible. However it's currently a very plain view because each genre has the same icon, negating the purpose of using icons. Any view where each item has the same icon is generally not a good candidate for being an icon grid.
