Qt implements static SVG-1.2 tiny, which allows to automatic wordwrap on
textArea containers.
(https://www.w3.org/TR/2008/REC-SVGTiny12-20081222/text.html#TextInAnArea). I
would need to test its possible, and if it is, implement it to allow at least
having a square resizable area to wrap text in.

I recall we specifically decided that it was the thumbnail that would be the
differentiation, because it is easier to point at a non-thumbnail part of the
layer than it is to reliably differentiate between the different modifier
combinations(as you are always looking at the thumbnail, but might not see
whether your hands are doing the wrong operation).

So in short, we thought this was easier on the user than to rely only on
different keyboard shortcuts alone.

I am sorry, this is by design.

Wrap around mode slow paint performance if stroke made outside orignal image
area

doesn't look like a bristle performance to me, but an OpenGL performace

The effect of this can be shown with a bigger texture, and a crappier graphics
card. I use an Intel laptop Iris 6100. which by its own makes painting worse if
another monitor is attached.

The strange part of this is: It really is slower to render the painting if the
stroke is made the wrapped part (outside the original image area).

See attached video.

I don't mark as confirmed as this probably is expected to happen on slow
systems.

Hello

Krita crashing on load is strange. Does this happen with any 4.1.7 krita
appimage or does this crash happens only with krita from the ubuntu repos?

Also we did not remove python-script willingly, there was a change in how
python finds the packages needed for krita python functionality. We are working
on a fix for python-script for appimage for now.

Only with libpython3.7m.so* does not work as it may be internally relying on
other libs of the same folder, so I linked all libraries and then removed the
link to libQt5* libs in that folder and worked :)

By the way, that folder can be anywhere, so I created it within cantor folder
instead of in conda's.

In `cantor-python-dir` directory you need have Cantor builded with system qt
libraries (cmake without CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH).
This variant actually fix the problem, that when we use LD_LIBRARY_PATH, we add
path to python library, but also path to conda qt libraries, which conflicts
with system qt libraries.

I meant systems Qt5 library, because the error comes from cantor using conda's
library instead. But it may not be possible, don't know...

SUMMARY
KRITA crashes on ubuntu 19.04 and can not draw.
This does not happen at all for nightly or Krita_Stable.
Each confirmed version is
Crashkrita = 4.1.7.101
Stable = krita-4.1.8-47f3cd3-x86_64
Nightly = krita-4.2.0-alpha-43eba36-x86_64

AMDGPU=RX470, ubuntukernel=5.0.0-13, KDEplasma=5.15.4, KDEFrameworks=5.56.0,
QT=5.12.2, OS-type=64bit, Driver = xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu 19.0.1-1

However, neither stable nor nightly can use phyton-brush-shortcut.
This is the reason for using KRITA 4.1.7.101.
We want to use nightly otherwise.
Why do you remove python-scrypt from nightly ;( No, I understand why. It's
bothersome to debug X(
Since KRITA 4.1.7 crashes, the only option is to use nightly, which makes brush
select difficult.

I took a log when it crashed. It may not be informative but attached.
There are two types of terminal log and crash log generated by KRITA.
terminal log=krita-crash.log
Configuration file = Local / share / krita, .config / KRITA-config-file * Item3
All erased = but crash

I don't think so: as I see, if we want use conda qt library, we need also build

Well, that about this?

Okey, I got it, maybe moving libraries was not good idea.
We actually could ignore cmake warning them, we use LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point

So, we could not do steps 0 and 1, but in this case, we loose any system

In summary, this recipe only works if Qt libraries are not present in conda's
library. Once they are set back in their folder, cantor crashes because it does
not like Qt libs < 5.12

An example that illustrate the problem
Assume in Kdevelop you want to use Ctrl+J to togggle the view of the Debug
Window.
Open Kdevelop
Right Click on the Debug Tab at the bottom
Click on Assign shortcut
Assign CTRL+J as a shortcut

Problem CTRL+J is also defined in Kdevlop as Join Line Shortuct
Problem in Settings/Configure Shortcut you have no way to remove the default
shortcut for Join Line

You are doomed because no one came to the idea to actually have a button that
delete he shortuct.
See the way VSCode does handle that issue to have an exmaple of a right design.

If you want me to be more explicit, I did:
0. cd /home/miniconda/envs/cenv1/lib/
1. mv ../libQt5* .
2. cd to cantor build directory
3. rm -rf *

5. make -j9
6. sudo make install
7. LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/miniconda/envs/cenv1/lib/ cantor -b python3

If libQt5* libs are moved back to /home/miniconda/envs/cenv1/lib/ before
executing point 7 above, the error is triggered

That's exactly what I did.

I think it's because "LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/miniconda/envs/cenv1/lib/" sets the
path for the Qt libraries as well, and them being different than Qt 5.12
trigger the error...

[cantor] [Bug 407200] cantor python backends are hardcoded to the system

2019-05-10 Thread Nikita Sirgienko
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407200

It's actually strange: for using the libraries in cantor, cmake need found them
first. Could you cleanup build directory with 'rm -rf *' (or something like
that) before cmake run? Is it solve the problem?
And did you install new cantor build? I mean, cantor could work only installed,
so you need somethink like 'make && make install && cantor -b python3'.

I did. I reran cmake and make, and then get those libraries back. The error
appeared anyway.

However, if I keep the libraries away, cantor and its python3 backend in the
conda environment work.

Unfortunately, permanently removing those libraries is not an option for having
conda working properly...

I have, I think, the same problem on my new computer (Dell XPS 13, Fedora 30,
okular 18.12.2, poppler 0.73.0)

The computer has a resolution 3840x2160 and Screen Scale is set at 2.5. Like
Eugene, I notice that it mostly happen with large windows. Okular even seems to
give up at some points and doesn't render parts of the page till I move again.

I have also put a file on
(this is the file pgfmanual.pdf in package texlive-pgf-doc)
look how rendering is flickering and how page 7 doesn't appear till I go up and
down again.

The computer is brand new, everything is going very smoothly with evince, so I
don't think the problem is a lack of CPU or RAM.

It works much better with Screen Scale set at 1.

It is possible to differentiate and we do differentiate.

The thing is:

Selection operations are done clicking on the Thumbnail, alt + Ctrl + click
happens to be "remove opaque from selection"
More info:
https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/selections.html#selection-from-layer-transparency

If you click outside the thumbnail but not in the eye you get:

I have 1.1.15 and it seems to work fine.

What about if you run jfs_debugfs manually.

KDE Partition Manager basically runs

"jfs_debugfs /dev/sdb1"

and inputs "dm"

Maybe you can paste the output of that command?

dancing pixels

The Brush Tool and Grid cannot snap to the center of the pixel.

This causes some problems when trying to draw pixel art. The basic problem with
diagonal lines. If we use the Line Tool, we get an uneven line with artifacts
(see attachment). Since our line can't bind exactly to the center of the pixel
(or something else) — we get a 'dancing pixels'.

1. Take an empty layer
2. Take Line Tool and 'pixel1' brush with sharpness
3. Try to draw a couple of good diagonal lines

systemsettingscrashlog

SUMMARY

After updating my KDE Neon Git Unstable installation today, if i try to open
"Configure desktop" the entire plasma shell crashes and goes black, with Konqi
saying that it was a "Floating point exception"

At the same time, most of the system settings modules crash, however they do
not take down the whole Plasma shell. I think the same issue is causing both
problems.

I could not get a log for the plasma shell crash.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click "Configure desktop" or open systemsettings and open a module such as
workspace theme.

2. Observe shell crash for configure desktop (and it never opens), or observe
systemsettings crashing from opening the workspace theme module (the modules
never open before the crash). Both give floating point exception errors in Dr
Konqi, however the configure desktop crash method does not offer any logs.

OBSERVED RESULT

Shell crashes when clicking "configure desktop", the settings menu never opens,
and plasma shell doesn't always recover from the crash and requires restarting
it manually.

AND

Systemsettings application crashes from clicking on some of it's modules such
as Look and feel, Workspace theme, Colors, etc.

O, lovely. So in that case the undefined memory points to an invalid address...
So we want the pointer to be defined to something valid and undefined.

Does the following work on mips32? (patch explicitly doesn't change the line
numbers of the test function calls to keep the exp file the same):

I have the same issue on Arch linux. There is very good chance that this leak
is related to intel graphics driver:

Also in discussion at https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=245550 all
people with this issue have intel graphics and everyone with another GPU do not
have it.

On another hand on my system it appeared about the same time plasma was
upgraded to 5.15, so changes in plasma likely to be involved.

This is a different issue. The opcode says this is swc2:

0x0: swc2$23,6524(sp)

but I believe Loongson-3 has overridden COP2 instruction formats.

I suggest you install regular MIPS64 Debian, then it will work without
problems.

The fix was made to the qqc2-desktop-style framework, so you would need to
rebuild that from git master, or cherry-pick
22a2f9eaae138d6fef510800d4333b88efbb8649.

But yes, that fix evidently did not completely solve the problem, which is why
this bug report is still open. :)

OK, re-build systemsettings as described in Comment 4 but the problem was still
there. So either my approach was wrong or the patch doesn't work.

Mostly (not every single time), when trying to turn the screen back on, the
whole session crashes and the system appears to crash entirely. I cannot switch
TTY and have to do a hard reset.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Let power saving turn off screen
2. Move mouse or press keyboard to turn it back on

OBSERVED RESULT

System freezes entirely

EXPECTED RESULT

Log in screen is displayed

Mark, the sys-copy_file_range.stderr.exp does not cover all the cases.

Here is a exp diff on mips32:

5a6,10
> Syscall param copy_file_range(off_in) points to unaddressable byte(s)

In short, on mips32 one more issue is reported. How do you want to handle this?
New exp file or something else?

Even when using:

-DENABLE_TESTING=OFF
-DBUILD_TESTING=OFF
-DKDE_SKIP_TEST_SETTINGS=ON

...configure fails. How do I disable building the benchmarks?

What's you cmake / ninja version?

mine: cmake 3.13.4 / ninja 1.9.0
