https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410723 --- Comment #2 from Oliver Sander --- I did work on something related, but what I did fix was something else (poor resolution of the lines in presentation mode). >From looking at the picture (I cannot reproduce the problem) it seems as if the path was drawn with the Qt::MiterJoin style, which does indeed lead to jaggedness if the angles are very sharp. I don't really understand how this can happen, though: as it is an annotation it is poppler that does the line drawing, right? [kaffeine] [Bug 410888] New: Rasp PI runs hot on Kaffeine. Shut down and loses all programed stations.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410888 Bug ID: 410888 Summary: Rasp PI runs hot on Kaffeine. Shut down and loses all programed stations. Product: kaffeine Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: critical Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: mchehab+sams...@kernel.org Reporter: jimvonme...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- I have a desktop Windows machine with a Haupauge 2250 that I have setup as a media machine using qbittorrent for downloading a few movies and documentaries and WinTV to record a few over the air broadcast programs. It works fine however because I have to leave it on it is consuming power. When I found the low power consumption of the Raspberry PI 3 and could be left on 24/7 I got one and a Haupauge 955Q and have been setting it up (not easy because I am a self taught Windows boy…writing code is not in my playbook). So far qbittorent is working fine. I called Hauppauge about what media player would work with this linux based unit and they said Kaffeine so I installed it. Live TV is jerky but that’s okay because I don’t watch it on the PI; I transfer to my regular network and it plays fine. However the issues I have are; 1-When it is running (playing live TV) I get a temperature warning and when I go to shut off Kaffeine it warns me I have recordings scheduled, which I take to mean they won’t record when I shut it off. Will it still record if I shut it down? Or is there a way to “minimize” it so the temp doesn’t go so high? 2-When I have shut it down it seems to lose all of my saved TV stations. The names/numbers are still in the left window but all I get is black screen. How to fix that? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 410886] New: "plasmashell: Playback Stream" application occupies exclusive audio output device
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410886 Bug ID: 410886 Summary: "plasmashell: Playback Stream" application occupies exclusive audio output device Product: plasmashell Version: 5.15.4 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Reporter: flighter...@gmail.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY The "plasmashell: Playback Stream" seems to be using up direct audio output device for audio output, causing audio players unable to use the same direct audio output to bypass pulseaudio server for bit-perfect audio playback. Killing plasmashell manually solves this problem with audio playback. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install and run Deadbeef through command line. 2. Set "Sound/Output plugin" to "ALSA output plugin", set "Output device" to something like "HDA Intel PCH, ALC 1220 Analog Direct hardware device without any conversions" (Or something alike, according to the correct audio hardware installed on your computer.). 3. Attempt to play a song. OBSERVED RESULT Command line output error message: "could not open audio device (Device or resource busy)", and no sound is played. Possible additional error messages: "ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:1108:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave" After manually killing plasmashell (with "killall plasmashell"), music playback using the same output setting proceeds normally as expected. EXPECTED RESULT Audio playback proceeds without problem. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 19.04 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0 Qt Version: 5.12.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Under Audio Volume setting in KDE (Settings/Multimedia/Audio Volume), under "Applications" tab, two applications can be seen in playback group, which disappears after "killall plasmashell", they are both named "plasmashell: Playback Stream". They appear even when no audio is played or heard. After manually killing plasmashell with the method above, if restart plasmashell, these two applications in audio setting immediately re-appear. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410887 Bug ID: 410887 Summary: Ctrl doesn't work with Outline selection Tool Product: krita Version: 4.2.5 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Tools/Selection Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: katearche...@yandex.ru Target Milestone: --- Since 4.2.5 holding ctrl haven't has any effect on outline tool. Previously holding Ctrl would switch outline selection tool to polygon selection mode but no more. 1. Open 4.2.5. 2. Select outline selection tool. 3. Hold ctrl and click several times. 4. Nothing happens. Expected result: The outline selection tool would switch to the polygon mode and would produce polygon selection. This bug has been introduced in 4.2.5(Any platform: windows and linux tested, results are the same). In any previous version ctrl works fine. This bug is kinda duplicate of the bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410532 but since the buttons in question there were alt and shift I've decided to make a separate bug report for ctrl key. Also kinda unrelated there is no way to change this key in preferences to any other key modificator and there are no mentions of this functionality in Manual on docs.krita.org on the outline selection tools as well which is kinda confusing when you know that the feature exists but cannot find a trace of it in the docs(the page is only referencing to selection modifiers like add/substract/replace instead on modes of the selection itself). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[systemsettings] [Bug 410789] GTK Application Style crash
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410789 --- Comment #6 from Shae --- Doing all the compiling is a tad out of my expertise at the moment. I'm learning but it's probably safe to say that's trying to swim with sharks. Welp, I apologize for wasting your time then. [systemsettings] [Bug 410789] GTK Application Style crash
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410789 --- Comment #5 from Nate Graham --- Heh, thanks. In general the right approach here is to install the debugging symbols package that your distro provides. Unfortunately, Manjaro, being an Arch derivitive, doesn't provide debugging symbols at all. So the only remaining option is to compile the software from source with debug symbols, then run that, reproduce the crash, and generate the backtrace yourself with gdb. In the past I've advocated for disabling the automatic crash reporting functions entirely for Arch-based distros because the backtraces we get from them are not useful. :( -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[systemsettings] [Bug 410789] GTK Application Style crash
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410789 --- Comment #4 from Shae --- Well, I hope this is helpful. Bit of a Linux newb so I had to figure out how to get a backtrace that might be helpful. I used strace. I hope that's acceptable and I hope it has whatever symbols you need to track this down. I did try the gdb method listed on the arch wiki but I was obviously doing something wrong there. So it's kind of a big file. For whatever reason when strace is running systemsettings5 doesn't fully crash but just becomes unresponsive and needs to be killed. I let it run several minutes expecting it to disappear like it normally does. When it didn't I just killed it. --the file was to large to upload so I put it on google drive--- https://drive.google.com/open?id=1kIqv7DxbuJPndDBrJEdpz18a7iC6GqIV -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Expected to be full black after curve correction, but result is lighter grey. - White drop pointed to the sky. Expected to be full white after correction, but result is darker grey. - Moreover, the top histogram is too much compressed instead of being full width. [frameworks-kio] [Bug 410817] Accept files as well as folders in KFileDialog's URL Navigator
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410817 Nate Graham changed: What|Removed |Added Summary|Select files from the |Accept files as well as |address (folder) bar in |folders in KFileDialog's |KFileDialog |URL Navigator CC||n...@kde.org Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|REPORTED|CONFIRMED Keywords||usability --- Comment #1 from Nate Graham --- I have had the same experience myself. Putting two text fields that can accept paths in the same dialog is the source of this confusion. I wonder if we could make the top text field accept files as well as folders as input when in "Open" mode, and when in "Save" mode, use the bottom text field just a filename field where you can type in the name. So in this case, that field wouldn't even be visible in the open dialog. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 410873] Audio Volume: Huge OSD, duplicate entries for shortcuts
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410873 --- Comment #5 from Nate Graham --- > You can file it by yourself or don't fix at all. > Please, test your software properly. > Probably, you should fix both bugs no matter how I wrongly reported it... A confrontational attitude is not helpful; it tends to derail the technical conversation and create an argument. We're all here to make stuff better. I presume you are too because you took the time to report a problem, for which we are grateful. I would recommend reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Issue_Reporting to ensure that your interactions here in Bugzilla are smooth and optimized for getting problems resolved. And please do file a second bug for the duplicate shortcut issue. The reason why each problem needs its own bug report is so we can track them separately in the (likely) event that each problem requires a different code change to fix. Thanks! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
