https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=424636 Bug ID: 424636 Summary: System monitors leak memory, to a tune of 1GB (!) per 24 hours. Product: plasmashell Version: 5.19.3 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: System Monitor Assignee: notm...@gmail.com Reporter: gilb...@gmail.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY Just upgrade two of my Fedora KDE boxes to 5.19.x and I'm noticing huge memory leak from plasmashell. I'm putting the blame on the system monitors, as removing them all seems to solve the problem. I literally have to reset plasmashell (kquitapp plsamshell && plasmashell &) as it eats ~30GB of RAM. This is done in the method FileWriter::escape(). Unfortunately, this function is not fully unicode aware, leading to multiple code points being escaped to the same value. Committed on 24/07/2020 at 21:56. Pushed by woltherav into branch 'krita/4.3'. This fixes the bug where this brush slowly outputs everything to transparent. The bug was caused by the fact that to sample the input pixels, the crossdevice color picker was used, which in turn got access to subpixel data by utilizing the randomsubaccessor, which was getting that data by mixing neighbouring pixels via the KoColorMixOp. However, the randomsubaccessor isn't able to generate perfect sums-to-255 weights every single time, meaning transparency was added. This commit fixes that by passing a sum of weights to the KoColorMixOp that only defaults to 255. Special thanks to Dmitry for figuring this out. Note: there's still an issue with colors mixing darker in 8bit, we're still trying to figure that one out. But at the least there's no transparency. [plasmashell] [Bug 418546] Lock screen's icons are blurry on HiDPI with scaling 1.5
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418546 --- Comment #26 from Postix --- Created attachment 130380 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=130380=edit Screenshot: Screenshot: PLASMA_USE_QT_SCALING=1, scaling 1.5 (from scaling 2.0, no reboot) Now I can do the same coming from scaling 2.0 and scale to 1.5 without syncing and rebooting and voilá, the locked screen displayes sharp crisp icons. However, once I reboot, they are blurry again! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I'm happily testing.. ;) It's not a dupe. I went back to scaling 1.5, rebooted, then changed to scaling 2.0 (without syncing or rebooting) and locked the screen: Scales and looks like the 3rd attachment [1]. [krita] [Bug 424574] eye paind and damage with colorize mask tool. change background color to gray?
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=424574 vanyossi changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ghe...@gmail.com --- Comment #3 from vanyossi --- I don't understand. If pure white is causing eye strain its possibly a brightness monitor setting. The tool starts using a semi-opaque white so it takes some of the color of the layers below. In my ccase I use dark cream color as a base for my sketches and using colorize mask has no harsh effect over my eyes as the transform visual cue converts into a soft cream color. In anycase we need a visual cue to show the tool is active and ready to be edited. If white can be problematic I wonder what can be done as an alternative -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[okular] [Bug 402017] Cannot save PDF when loaded file has been deleted
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402017 --- Comment #41 from David Hurka --- > I mean think of this message you would have to show the user "Sorry, we > can't open your file because you don't have enough space on disk". If there is not enough space to create a temporary copy, how should the file be saved after editing? If the file was streamed-from-disk in that case, it would have to be deleted in order to save the edited version. But then, nothing can be saved anymore, so I don’t see the point to not create temporary copies. So I make another suggestion: C) Create temporary copies of any file. But if there is not enough space to make a temporary copy, consider the original file to be the temporary copy (but remember to not delete it). D) Like C, but also remove swapBackingFile. I think full reload instead of swapBackingFile is acceptable in this corner case. (If that would lose e. g. annotations, the user could still save to .okular first.) ... Hmm, okay, the user could still save to a remote location. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
