Do you have the system clipboard service/applet enabled (aka Klipper)? It is
enabled in the system tray by default. If you don't, then the clipboard
contents will be gone when the Spectacle program terminates.

It is possible for there to be a bug. As you said, this probably is an upstream
issue since Spectacle does not do the frame dropping itself. The issue is
