[plasmashell] [Bug 486483] New: restarting plasma-plasmashell.service causes loss of all notification history
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=486483 Bug ID: 486483 Summary: restarting plasma-plasmashell.service causes loss of all notification history Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: master Platform: Neon OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Notifications Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: pa...@bonedaddy.net CC: k...@privat.broulik.de Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY When the Plasma Shell is restarted, it looses all notification history. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Get an application to send a notification. 2. Verify the notification is in the history. 3. Run `systemctl restart plasma-plasmashell.service` 4. Check the notification history again. OBSERVED RESULT The notification history is empty after the restart. EXPECTED RESULT The notification history is preserved after restarts. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Neon: neon-unstable-20240428-1118.iso (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.2.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I discovered this on Debian trixie with KDE Plasma Desktop 5 and then verified it was still present in the latest KDE Neon unstable distribution. The restarts on Debian were due to plasmashell crashes, but I also want to safely be able to do systemctl restarts based on needrestart output after library upgrades. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[valgrind] [Bug 178779] merge logrind 2
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=178779 Paul Wise changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|UNMAINTAINED|--- Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #2 from Paul Wise --- I noticed some mails in the list archives that mention logrind: https://sourceforge.net/p/valgrind/mailman/search/?q=logrind In particular this one announcing the project: https://sourceforge.net/p/valgrind/mailman/message/10332907/ https://sourceforge.net/p/valgrind/mailman/valgrind-users/thread/025701c4838d%2438b5c340%240207a8c0%40avocado/#msg10332907 It links to the web page for the project. That is down, but was captured by archive.org: https://web.archive.org/web/20050214053429/http://atomice.com/logrind2.html It has also captured the source code links from that page, a report and a user guide: https://web.archive.org/web/20050109111455if_/http://atomice.com:80/snapshots/valgrind-20040619.tar.bz2 https://web.archive.org/web/20050108203820if_/http://atomice.com/snapshots/insight-20040619.tar.bz2 https://web.archive.org/web/20041016075059if_/http://www.atomice.com:80/downloads/report.pdf https://web.archive.org/web/20041016081912if_/http://www.atomice.com:80/downloads/userguide.pdf Since this hasn't been maintained since 2004, it likely would require a lot of effort to merge this, so feel free to re-close this request if you don't want to look at it. I just thought I should make this comment for completeness. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[marble] [Bug 322104] External Map Editor Selection dialog, JOSM selection has bad layout, typo
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=322104 --- Comment #3 from Paul Wise --- With the Debian buster marble package version 4:17.08.3-3.1 and from the about dialog "Version 2.2.20 (2.3 development version)": The two layout issues have been fixed. The typo has not been fixed, but it is a minor issue. There is another layout issue, but I'll file a separate bug for that. So I recommend closing the issue and communicating the typo to someone who can fix it quickly. In addition, KDE might want to employ codespell to prevent more typos from being introduced: https://github.com/codespell-project/codespell/ -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
