I installed KDEneon yesterday.
Used the latest build.

Discover crashes every time as reported by all others here.

I installed synaptic and was able to install software I need.

Then I downloaded a deb-file of google-chrome-browser and double clicked it.
Discover opened the deb-file and asked for my root-password.
I gave it and Discover installed the browser successfully.

I then clicked on "applications" in Discover and it did not crash.
I was able to browse all applications with Discover and install some apps.

After closing Discover and starting it again, the crash ist there again.

Yeah, thats what is going on with mine. When I click on the categories like
applications and what not, it crashes.

For your information: I also uninstalled the package
xorg.org.input.libinput-packages before, because it does not support the
specific button for double-clicking the RollerMouse.

I just did that and the crush also does not happen. Thank you!
Still, I have the icon in the tray that signals that there is some updates
available, in spite of the fact that there are no updates.

Yes - it was a fresh install, but I hadn't changed much in the system. The
only problem now is when I try to access the menu buttons -
"applications", etc. I installed synaptic & used alt-get in command line
to get other packages. Discover is providing updates.

Maybe try updating via command line, and use synaptic utilities?

Best of luck.

I just filed a bug that was just like this a few hours ago. I'm wondering, is
this after a fresh install (and just updating, and nothing more)? Or had you
changed any kind of settings or anything?
In my instance, the only things that I can recall having done was I removed
the -xorg.org.input.libinput- packages from my machine, because they broke the
touch screen on my HP TouchSmart. I am guessing that it reverted back to evdev.
But, I wonder if it could have anything to do with this bug.
