That would probably be enough to entice a developer capable of investigating and fixing the problem to do so. Or they could directly pool their money to hire a developer to fix it (which would probably cost more than $1,000). Or they could find a technical friend and convince that person to do it. It ONLY happens in the file picker with folders of large amounts of images, as it doesn't seem to be a problem at all in Dolphin. Sometimes you can "nudge" it to generate more thumbnails by changing icon sizes, but it doesn't work most of the time, and often makes you lose your place. This is very annoying.
