Dear all,
After some years without I'm getting back to video editing... I already
searched quite a lot but it's really hard to find "realiable" information, so I
decided to ask here:
- It seems that hw accel is not available in kdenlive
- As far as I understand kdenlive uses mlt which uses ff

Hi,
In the settings window, there is Environment - Default folders. How are they
used exactly, so
- Temporary files: is used for (e.g. only render log files or so)? Gets
how large? (My /tmp is on RAM)
- Capture folder: I assume that's only relevant for doing screen capture,
so doesn't matter

Dear all,
just a little question: as I see preview rendering uses the project's
resolution. Can this be changed? I tried but without success, but I'm unsure
if it's because of a config error on my side.
Reason: I'm trying to create a 4K video, but since the project monitor is much
smaller, som

Hi
I've a question regarding rescaling (i.e. downscaling in my case):
If my input clips are 4k; will the rendered video be the same (identical)
- if I choose 4k as the project type and rescale to QHD in the render window, or
- if I set QHD as the project type, without rescale in the render dial
Hi list
I'm encountering a really strange problem with kdenlive - steps to reproduce
it:
Create new project (HD or, QHD, doesn't matter)
Add audio to project bin (e.g. flac 44100 Hz or wav 48000, doesn't matter)
Play audio: it works
Add it to an audio track: it works
Save file
Restart kdenlive
Op
I'm one step further now:
If I open the project file with kdenlive started by another user it works fine.
So there has to be a problem with my kdenlive settings files (not project
settings/project file).

I already removed all config and cache files named *kdenlive*...
Any hint where I can look at?
Thank you so much!

Hi all,
I have the following question/problem:
I'm using latest kdenlive Appimage (20.8.3b) on Debian, and it seems at least
some effects are missing (compared to before the rewrite).
I have
Alpha/Transform
Alpha gradient
Chroma Key: Advanced
Chroma Key: Basic
Corners
Edge Crop
Key
OK, just found out myself:
On top there is a selection, "Main effects" was selected... using "Show all
video effects" it's there :-)

Hello
Just a little question: as there are tags for clips I wonder if there is a way
to mark zones in the timeline by color? My use case: my movie is currently too
long and I try an approach of applying categories like
1: not so good
2: ok
3: very good
to zones; afterwards I'd like to go back and
Hello
Is there a way to render the final movie with guides as chapters? Or should I
render each zone individually and then use ffmpeg to both concat them and add
chapter markings?
Thank you.
Best,
Bernd

Hello
I have the following "problem":
When starting "play", after 1 - 2 seconds the monitor (clip or project,
doesn't matter) hangs for a short period of time, maybe 0.5 seconds. If I go
back and start playing at the same position again, it plays fine. If I then
modify the timeline in this section
PS: If I modify the clips in the timeline while playing, it hangs after maybe
1 second as well. During hanging, the time is not updated (below the monitor).

Hi
I just realized that my project had the wrong settings: instead 4K UHD I had
started with 4K DCI, so it's a bit wider than I wanted.
So I decided to change the project resolution to 4K UHD and I got some "size &
alignment problems", maybe especially where I used transform.
So far so good and
Hi
I'm currently trying to get a finished project out of kdenlive (latest version,
appimage), and I see frequent crashes (without any reason for me).
Basically, I split the project into several sequences and try rendering them
independently. Due to the crashes I started also rendering sequences i

after a crash takes much much longer...

Dear all,
I have a strange problem since today: in my project, a clip (let's call it
clip.mp4) is part of the timeline, showing its name "clip.mp4", when I right
click, then Clip in Project Bin, clip.mp4 is shown in the clip monitor. But
when I play the timeline, instead of clip.mp4, another clip
eally a problem, oh oh.
Any ideas, please?
Best,
Bernd

idea how I can recover this project? I do have backups, also on external
disks, but since it doesn't help to load an (much) older project file, I don't
have hope this will fix my problem :-(
Thank you for your help.

everything was ok, now it's completely broken. And I've no clue what happened
and why... (And there's about 20 hours work in this project...)
Have a nice day,
