Could you retest with 4.11 branch or 4.12 (it's better but compile with
debug mode otherwise you will not see debug dialogbox)

I followed the workaround from above linked bug and deleted all enties in
System settings → Personal information (where Akonadi configuration is) and
restarted akonadi and now it is working ok.

For posterity, problem seems to have disappeared after upgrading Qt from 4.8.4
to 4.8.5. Now %F does not cause a crash, and libreoffice opens fine.
