Btw, the problem is that it was not possible to know safely what had happened
to the mail, which appeared in outbox AND sent-mail. Never happened to me with

The address book is set up as an old style resource, in a vcf file. I assumed

This appears to be fixed in KDE 4.8 (or earlier), korganizer uses the same
dialog as kmail for selecting contacts. Is it Ok to cloce this one?

As a workarounc, you can enter a category in the filter text line, this will
work to some degree, eg entering family will show all members of family
category, but possibly more

Please make sure nepomuk is running.
There are problems with autocompletion in kmail composer KDE 4.8, but if you
are using KDE 4.7 it should work afaik.
