[Akonadi] [Bug 338658] GMail: Multiple merge candidates, aborting
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=338658 --- Comment #13 from Paul Gideon Dann pdgiddie+...@gmail.com --- Sadly, I've had to abandon KMail for the time being, as either this issue or something related to it is causing the Akonadi agents for my GMail IMAP to stop responding. I can retrieve e-mail if I kill and restart them, but they only last for a couple of minutes before freezing up again. I've had to resort to the GMail web interface for several months now :( -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=338658 Paul Gideon Dann pdgiddie+...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Severity|normal |grave --- Comment #9 from Paul Gideon Dann pdgiddie+...@gmail.com --- Yes, I'm getting the same thing: the imap resources get stuck, and I have to killall axonadi_imap_resource, and then restart them via the Akonadi Console in order to un-stick them. I've pretty much abandoned KMail for now as I can't use it for more than 10mins before it gets stuck. I've had to fall back to the GMail web app until this is resolved. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

Google replied 'Not Found' error message whenever the resource attempts to refresh the calendar list, which I've set it to do at regular intervals. I've found that the resources behave correctly again if I restart them from the Akonadi console. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

I've tried removing the akonadi database at ~/.local/share/akonadi. This greatly reduced the number of messages I was receiving, but once Akonadi had finished caching what it needed in the database, these messages started occurring regularly again (though only one at a time now), presumably when it polls for new mail. I've tried shutting down Akonadi and running akonadictl fsck, but that doesn't have any effect. [kontact] [Bug 324403] Fatal Could not create collection outbox following upgrade to 4.11.0, duplicate special folders, locale issue?
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=324403 --- Comment #8 from Paul Gideon Dann pdgiddie+...@gmail.com --- Wow; I don't think anything that drastic is required. You just need to have a look at your Akonadi resources. In System Settings, go to Personal Information. Look through all the resources there that are responsible for e-mail. You should have only one resource responsible for your local mail (the duplicated resources may have different names). Click modify on each one to see the folder that they're pointing at. For me, besides my public e-mail account, I have a resource named Local Folders which points to /home/username/.local/share/local-mail. If there are several resources that point to local folders, that is probably the cause of the problem. You should remove one of them, especially if they point to the same folder. When you remove a resource, it won't actually delete the e-mail data stored in the directory it points to. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[kontact] [Bug 324403] Fatal Could not create collection outbox following upgrade to 4.11.0
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=324403 --- Comment #1 from Paul Gideon Dann pdgiddie+...@gmail.com --- It turns out this was caused by a duplicate resource: I already had a resource for my local maildir (~/local/share/local-mail), and during the upgrade KMail presumably added another instance of this resource. I had previously configured my local mail folder manually, so I assume some logic decided the default local mail resource didn't exist and added it. I'm guessing the first resource to lock the mailbox caused the second to fail. This should crash, though, so I won't set to resolved just yet. I'll leave it here in case someone has time to do some testing to reproduce the bug and report the actual issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 227638] Can't subscibe/unsubscribe folder when more then 999 items on the IMAP server

Rather frustrating :( -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Bug 227638] Can't subscibe/unsubscribe folder when more then 999 items on the IMAP server
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=227638 --- Comment #3 from Paul Gideon Dann pdgiddie+kde gmail com 2010-07-10 13:44:07 --- I think there must be a way to manually add certain folders to the list of locally unsubscribed folders in ~/.kde4/share/config/kmailrc. I haven't quite figured it out though. Could anyone lend a hand? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Bug 227638] Can't subscibe/unsubscribe folder when more then 999 items on the IMAP server
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=227638 --- Comment #4 from Paul Gideon Dann pdgiddie+kde gmail com 2010-07-10 14:23:14 --- OK, I think I've found a way to hack the KMail config + cache to get rid of the Public Folders when connecting to an Exchange Servers via IMAP: * Close KMail * Open ~/.kde4/share/config/kmailrc * Find the Account section corresponding to your Exchange account. This will probably have a line near the top saying: 2=Public Folders/ or similar. Delete that line. Check for other lines in the section that might refer to that folder too. * Ensure locally-subscribed-folders=true * Set locallyUnsubscribedFolders=/Public Folders/ * Go to ~/.kde4/apps/kmail/dimap and do ls -la * Go into the directory that looks like .x.directory, that refers to your exchange account. * do ls -la again * Remove *all files folders* referring to Public Folders. There should be Public Folders, .Public Folders.directory, and some other files. Make sure they're all gone. * Start KMail and cross your fingers :) I hope this helps someone; get in touch if you need more help. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
