I have an ASUS X201E notebook running a manufacturer install of Precise.
I know gnome-panel and the fn keys worked in 3.2.0-52, and have reverted
back to that kernel. Up to this point, everything worked very nicely,
and as of the kernel switch, things started breaking. At
Verified with 12.10 / 13.04 and the latest v3.11 kernel, this problem
persists.

Update on this issue. I have noticed that after updating system files
the SD Card works until a reboot. There were updates I installed
tonight and after restarting to complete the updates, the SD Card was
available to me. I used GParted to partition and format the SD Card and
restarted again
[Expired for linux (Ubuntu) because there has been no activity for 60
days.]
