3.13-0-45-generic and earlier kernel releases.
In 3.13.0-46 dmsg shows messages when the soundbar is pluged in and
unpluged. However it is not listed by alsa or pulseaudio.

I can confirm that the fix from fd.o (comment #10 ) works for me. I'm running
kernel v4.0-rc3 from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.0-rc3-vivid/ (not recommended
for unexperienced users...), and after removing the quirks from pm-suspend, the
machine recovers from suspend
