doesn't work for me on kernel 4.0.8, 2012 RB. tried with/without hid-
rmi, and it's still not working. synclient doesn't start:
Couldn't find synaptics properties. No synaptics driver loaded?
and an lsmod reveals that the hid-rmi module isn't loaded. relevant

I updated BIOS to A07 from #19, the led doesn't blink either.
The command sudo dmidecode -s bios-version sudo dmidecode -s
bios-release-date shows

And solved it with... echo options asus_nb_wmi wapf=4 | sudo tee
/etc/modprobe.d/asus_nb_wmi.conf
