O2 Micro SD Controller Not
Public bug reported:
Upon attempting to use my SD card reader in my Thinkpad W541, I am no longer
able to read cards. Ubuntu 17.10 worked OK, but 18.04 does not. I have since
done a fresh install and it still does not work. I have tried some workarounds
including:
sudo rmmod sdhci sdhci_pci

To be clear, this should have been "it works in rc4". I didn't have time
to test in which version the fix was committed.

Robert,
There are some patches pending upstream to fix the "incomplete report"
errors in the mean time these can be safely ignored.
As for you needing to do a 2-finger-click to get a right click, that
means that libinput is configured for clickfinger behavior rather then
click areas.

I installed the packages from -proposed as per the instructions and had
two issues:

error, which some cursory Googling suggests is due to a lack of 32-bit
libraries—perhaps this is expected.
2. After switching from NVIDIA to

I did try to ask on the kernel mail list (here
https://lkml.org/lkml/2018/9/10/296 ), but got no replies, however the good

I'd commented in detail about this bug (post 77,78). I run the live

Just wanted to add:
I've added 4Gb of RAM to the Core-i5 laptop for 8Gb total now. This
helps a lot, but it's not a cure.
